seriously people, he was just there. He can't play your home town every time (unless you live in NYC ).

I hope not. I just passed up trying to get tix to 3 other shows that night for this one DR show, and I'll be hella pissed if I find out I could've gone!

Considering I highly doubt many people will be able to attend every show he's putting on in all the countries, I don't consider my comment selfish. All I meant was that I thought he would for sure hit bigger cities on this tour. 9 dates is hardly a stop the world event.

You have completely missed the point - first of all he played something like 30-40 shows here just a month or so ago - so what do you call that??

Second of all the guy drives around and lives in a bus from city to city and stops at a hotel to take a shower.

Third of all he has consistently played three or four nights in a row - in different cities - HE HAS BEEN ON A GRUELING SCHEDULE SINCE MARCH

Fourth of all the US is NOT the center of the universe and he is playing all over the world

Fifth of all you should be happy if he came back to the US for one concert in September let alone nine

Sixth of all yes it was a stupid and selfish comment - give the guy a break - I suppose you will also complain after October when he intends to take time off.

Uh I think the point was the grind/the sleeping in the bus not the mode of transport.

Let me guess you and cs are in your 20s?? Typical trophy generation all about me bs.

Whatever - we are seeing him in Lucerne in a week and in Nashville in Sept so no complaints here.

Sorry - while my original post was a tad negative I felt the need to react to what I felt was someone whining a bit much. So the trophy gen comment still applies in my opinion to cs and - now that I think about it - even moreso to stefferelli.

So thanks and enjoy the gig in Sept - I know we will!!

Well if Damien doesn't put on shows he isn't considered an entertainer anymore and last time I checked that's what he gets paid to do.. to put on shows. You can consider it selfish all you want, I just wish he did more of a variety of shows instead of always doing the same cities.

Look - you are clearly sincere in trying to make your point and haven't lowered yourself to ridiculously inane comments (like others have) so I tip my hat to you and will ease up.

That being said however where do you live??

In looking at the gigs from July 1, I count 41 different cities in 13 different countries, including Japan, South Korea and Australia. And that is in addition to all the shows he played in March through June. I don't remember exactly but I seem to recall he must have toured somewhere between 30-40 cities in the Spring North American tour. Finally, from what I can tell half of the cities on this NAM tour are not ones he played at last time around (LA, Denver, Murray, Cleveland and Nashville).

My point from the get go has been he has been working his arse off since March and I found it very odd for someone to complain about his not touring enough?

So en fin I understand your disdain that he is not playing in YOUR city but I would recommend you consider Bonnaroo - I imagine that the vast majority of those attending that festival do not reside in Tennessee.

Apparently some cannot. And just to clarify as I am sure you have no concept of relationship the names would be david (me), coty (wife) and alex (son). Have a nice day.

Do be honest with you, David, I really dont care. And what is this "relationship" word? You are selfish for speaking about something that I have no concept of.

What? I'm not allowed to laugh? Why do you always have to have last word? Why do you feel the need to always call people names? Why do you always have to engage people who are not going to be swayed by your histrionics? I am, surprisingly, on your side on this issue, but I think you went a bit far in engaging someone who (1) doesn't care what you have to say and (2) isn't going to be persuaded that you're right just because you write long posts and call them selfish

cheers

To be clear the long winded posts were directed to Stefferrelli in an attempt to make a case and not to some kid from Cleveland who obviosuly cares enough to keep this thread going way longer than - agreed - it should have. And your laugh suggested support to the prior comment.

Just had to get the last word in......

Hey I am not from Cleveland let me tell ya. I would just like to point out that I have not held any particular stance on any issue whatsoever in this thread, I have just been instigating that name calling geezer David. I was just having a little fun as it has been rainy in OH and the golf course was off limits. So lets all calm down and have a little fun.

You have to admit it is kinda funnny when you started calling a guy selfish, and I figured it would be fun to be a part of it. I was right.

And I get the last word. GO BUCKS

Cleveland/Columbus/Cincinnati all the same - they are in OHIO!

And while I agree with the fun not sure sarcastic retorts are the hilarious outcome of your instigation.

And "geezer????" How dare you you name calling instigator??!!!

You can get the last word tomorrow when we board our plane to Switzerland - ahh Damo at the KKL in Luzern (and oh yeah David Gray the following night both preceded by Van Morrison at Montreux) - gosh darn its good to be old and fly around the world following damo.......
