Default Lisa performing on BBC4. The songs of Nick Drake

Apologies if this has already been posted a while back, but anyway, for those who may have missed this wonderful tribute to Nick Drake on BBC4:
The songs of Nick Drake: Way To Blue. An array of artists were featured covering his songs, including the following lovely people: Lisa Hannigan, Teddy Thompson, Scott Matthews and others...
The programme is being repeated this evening on BBC4 at 11.45pm (BST) and is also up on BBC iplayer.

What the hell was that. I hate this instrument she's using.

And here's Lisa's interpretation of "At the chime of the city clock":

Lovely song but I personally prefer Lisa performing "Black Eyed Dog", it has such a dark energy...

^ thanks... i rather this song. lisa´s velvet voice suits perfectly in my opinion. maybe it is because i don´t like the other song too much, but i´m not fascinated by "black eyed dog" cover (too noisy, imho). but thanks, becci, anyway.

This song has some really gorgeous points but it's so un-organised and unrehearsed and to be honest, out of tune in places.

Does anyone know if this will be available on DVD at some point? Or possibly going to be aired on BBC2 (I know quite a few BBC4 sessions have later surfaced on BBC2)?

^ I don't know if it is going to be aired on BBC2 at some point in the future, but I did record the whole concert onto the hard drive of my dvd player. I've been trying to copy it onto a dvd, but for some reason, it just won't make a copy. I'm going to keep persevering...if I manage to get it onto a dvd would you like me to send you a copy?

I watched parts of it and the the audio as well as video quality is superb!!!
It downloads pretty fast as there are quite a lot of seeders, so take your chance!

I think ares is not a torrent software.
You need to try with Utorrent, Vuze, Transmission, etc..

Oh, I nearly forgot that I had left a message here. Thank you, Saskia. And thank you Mari, for the friendly offer.

Only one cover by Vashti. That's too bad. She's the one I was looking most forward to, actually.

No disrespect to the performers, but hearing others sing Nick Drake songs all the more underlines the singular talent and voice this man was. Definitely some lovely moments there, but when sung by someone else the songs just don't sound right.

I kind of agree with Dean regarding "Way to Blue". It's a difficult piece to perform to begin with, but making it a three-way harmony is just silly and unrewarding in this case. The voices sound fine separately, but don't quite match together. Also, Lisa shoud have picked a higher key for "At the Chime...".

Lol @ Robyn Hitchcock's polka dot blouse.
