Default I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For/star star

ok, i've had this track for awhile, but i'm not sure if that is really the name of it and i can't find anything about it on this site or dr.com.

anyone wanna fill me in on what this song is or if it is mislabeled or what? I have a live recording that i think may be two songs? idk, cause the lyrics i can find for the songs aren't how this version goes.

also, if anyone has the lyrics they could post i'd appreciate it!!!

also, he is using a different tuning i belive.... anyone know?

He throws in lyrics from the Frames "Star Star" and Paddy Casey's "Everybody Wants"

well that is the name and its by U2. should be able to get lyrics then?!

it sounds like he's messin with the 'high e' string.
sure ask bumpman.

its a lot more structured in U2's version as you would expect.

i think its in Key of E major. i think he bangs on the high e a couple of times on something like the third fret/fifth fret.

but i dont know this bit

"said i want you
to want me
and i need you
to need me"

*breaks into star star*
(well thats my version anyway) i take it theres only one out there?

brilliant stuff.

ok, yes, once i learned it was by U2 i was able to find it and then after some tough searching i found the whole thing with star star and all.

i wish i could find tabs. it sounds like he is playing on the 4th fret on the G string with it either bent or tuned slightly sharp and then playing the B and high E that are in tune.

The guitar is out of tune and he tries to tune it a bit mid-song (which is difficult to recreate accurately )

i've been wondering how he tuned it and kept playing it... that is why i think he is actually bending the string.

I have another version of it - w/ Herbie Hancock on piano. Damien only does the first verse or two, and then they just jam. And Damien tries scatting. It's all very cool.

PM me if anyone wants a copy
