Damien Rice follows SOLD OUT Boulder Theater with a special Record Store Day performance at Twist and Shout.

Twist and Shout is hosting an in-store performance with Damien Rice on Record Store Day Saturday, April 18th at 3pm. This will be a solo acoustic set, please note there will be no meet & greet for this event.

Starting Friday April 10th fans can purchase Damien Rice My Favourite Faded Fantasy CD or LP, or other titles such as 9, O, or Live at Fingerprints (LP) at Twist and Shout for a wristband to this event. Wristbands guarantee fans first entry into the performance, a special Record Store Day poster commemorating this date, and an enter to win form for a My Favourite Faded Fantasy vinyl test pressing, and a chance to win a pair of tickets to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre August 10th, plus a Damien Rice tote bag. Please ask any staff member for assistance with any questions you may have about this event.

Purchases must be in the store, at the register to receive a wristband and enter to win form. Be sure to get this early, the last couple of Record Store Day events have been total sell outs!

Local radio station 97.3 KBCO will be joining in for Record Store Day with Twist and Shout. Please join us for this special celebration!

***Please note we cannot make any exceptions for this event, there will be too many people here on this day! Wristbands are available on 4/10, at the store only. Thank you for understanding!***

Thanks so much for sharing this!! We were able to get wristbands. I would have missed this had you not posted it!

He played 4 songs, we managed to be just a few feets away from him!

He played Delicate, The Box , then he asked if there were any request so i asked for Sand! And he played it!!

And then played TBD as his last song.
I recorded Sand so i'll be posting that tomorrow

He missed a whole verse from sand, but that's ok because it was still awesome! I was so glad you asked for it because I was going to but I'm too slow!

I met him last year after the sound check for the music festival in Winterthur, Switzerland

This time there was only another girl, Shazad and him. I approached him n tried to come up with something to say that didnt sound stupid bc my mind went blank. Any one else had this problem? But he is just so nice, got a big hug so i was happy

I'm pretty sure i saw a guy with a tv camera standing to one of the sides of the "stage". Hopefully they did record it and share it!

Love the round mirror in corner - Damien is so close it looks like an intimate gig with just 4 people in audience, but mirror shows quite a few rapt people. Great pics!

supposedly there were 200 wristbands available. You had to buy any of his cds to get a wristband (you also got one of those tote bags and a poster). We thought it would be in like a closed space, but they basically just removed some of the rows were the vinyls were, set up a like a mini "stage" and we just gathered there. Pretty much anybody who was in the store was able to hear him and see him, even if you were far. The wristband was a way of guaranteeing you would be able to be really close to him. I had never been to any of this type of things so it was pretty cool.
