Default Seattle 4/21

Anyone on here going to the show? We're coming down from Vancouver. This will be my first Damien show and I can't wait! We managed to upgrade and get second row (row B) Orchestra level.

Old thread but I will be heading to Seattle for the show. Flying in from Iowa and spending the week in Seattle for 30th bday.

I promise your 1st Damo concert will surpass your expectations.

Just over a month left. I'm so excited. Anyone know if he'll have an opening band?

EDIT: Looks like Marketa Irglova will be opening. Couldn't get any better!

I'm so excited for the concert tomorrow! I'm hoping to catch him after the concert. Where do you guys usually wait for him at the end of the night?

Just got back to hotel. Great show, he was in such a good mood! He told a story before every song almost. It seemed like the theme of the night was excretion and how writing songs was like that process.

The set list was:
Cannonball(unplugged)
Volcano (with audience participation on stage
Older chests
The professor and la fille danse
9 Crimes(start on piano ending with rage guitar)
Elephant
I don't want to change you
Colour me in
It takes a lot to know a man
Trusty and true(on harmonium)
He invited Marketa back on to sing her song
Long long way (with Marketa)

We went out in the back and I met a group of wonderful people. We waited in the hopes that he'd come(waited almost two hours!) but unfortunately his crew kept telling us he snuck off immediately after the show. We waited it out but he didn't show. I was disappointed, it would've been my first time meeting him .

I can post videos later.
Here we are waiting for him, a couple went and got drinks in the hopes we could get him to sing Cheers Darlin. Oh well, still a great time meeting great people.

are you sure you´re not missing songs in that list? 11 seems like very few

and I Remember and especially The blower´s Daughter are staples

100%. He didn't sing many songs and wasn't on stage for long. He spent a long time talking and telling stories about each song. He said he wanted to play more songs and hadn't realized he'd been talking a lot.

maybe it´s a Seattle thing I remember I went to one of the Seattle shows in 2007 and he also talked a lot and told the story of every song

but must have been like the first time ever in his life he hasn´t played Blower´s Daughter

That sucks! My first concert,I would've loved to hear all the oldies. Oh well, the ending of 9 Crimes made up for it.

The after show crew seems to be in good spirits. I'm finding that Eskimos are pretty great people, and I love his stories during shows, so I hope you all had a wonderful time despite the short set list. Thank you for sharing!!

He didn't play it at the first show at The Box last October. I didn't even realize until he played it the following night in Brooklyn since he has so many amazing songs and I was just blown away by my first time seeing him live!

That's true- the shows at The Box were amazing, and I was lucky to meet some really cool people there! If only I could see Damien play a small club every month...

The sooner he gets out of Seattle, the more time he has to go through Napa and Sonoma. Man has priorities. Just saying...
