New Song - Lille (Demo)
I tried to write down the lyrics to Lisa's amazing new song " Lille (Demo), but I couldn't figure out everything...
Maybe someone can help out.. Lille I meant to see For a day And wanted to know What to say When he searched what he’d done In the past to someone That he loved endlessly Now she’s gone And so is he I went through a war Every morning I lost my way But now I’m following What you said In my arm What I read In the charm That I love durably Now it’s dead and gone And I am free Ooh…. I went to sleep For the daytime I shut my eyes To the sunshine Turned my head away from the noise … Childish toys That I love arguably …. … to see Ooh... We been out to play For the evening And wanted to hold on To the feeling …stretch in the sun And the breathlessness as we run To the beach Endlessly As the sun creeps up on the sea Ooh…

And here's my take on 'Pistachio'
Sit down and fire away I know it's tricky when you're feeling low When you feel like you're flavour Is gone the way of a pre-shelled pistachio I know you're weighed down You're fed up With your heavy You're boots, they're laced with meloncholy And notions all your own *Harum...* I do like sugar tender *** brittle and sticky when spun And I know my demeanor can go the way of a photo left out in the sun And I try to keep myself in lillies and flack[?] seeds Oh what a folly You're fooling just yourself *Harum...* Sit down and smoke away I wouldn't knock it till you're in them shoes Oh watch as our subtlty blows away As a blusher gives way to a bruise See me, we freely make a trade-off A dry rot to take the weight off Swap the boots for a tune *Harum...*

I agree, flax seeds.
Also, for lille, don't you think she might be talking about a little certain someone we know?

Thank you for trying to understang the lyrics. I also tried to do this earlier this evening, but there are plenty words I can't understand. The 2 new songs are just...incredibly gorgeous.
And why does that site says something about Lisa's first album being a collection? But oh well,I hope that will be a good thing, maybe she'll put 20 songs or so A collection!

Lille certainly sounds like it's about Damo. It's such a poignant song, regardless. I had no idea she was also a gifted songwriter. The album should be great.

Oh my god!!!!!!!! Just discovered Lille!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an amazing song!!!!!!!! If all her album is like that, it's gonna be mindblowing!!!!
Does anyone know how old is the song??? cos Damien & co played in Lille the week before Lisa left, was one of the last gigs all together Not sure if it might refer to that period...

I enjoyed Ronja Girl's transcription of the lyrics, especially this part:
Oooooouth Yooooooou Meeeeeee Noooooooooow Noooooooooow Laaaaaow Laaaaaow Laaaaaow Noooooooooow Noooooooooow Laaaaaow Laaaaaow very accurate But I think she says: Move your new found feet ..not feed :-? Might be wrong, though! But anyway, that's easy, couse it's in english. I wonder what does Banrion Mo Chroi mean..I mean what's the idea of the song? Could someone at lease resume it?

^The title means Queen of my heart, and its a cover of a Mic Christopher/Mary Janes track. These are the original lyrics, they seem to fet at least 80-90% but my Irish is not that good to evaluate it properly:
Queen Of Hearts Water came and saw me Holding back Holding back for someone Water came and saw me Holding on Holding on for someone What you see is the life I had Now I'm left here with my past Watching time as it passes slow Just to see the reasons why They must have come and passed me by Or maybe I'm just blind Because the... Like we couldn't see it in text Like we couldn't guess what was next Like we'd taken all of our hopes and our dreams... And we'd put them out in the sun Naked, as a beacon for everyone Who couldn't achieve And so come on my son it's like this It's like faint little miss Just like a sudden change in winter Caused the breaking of a heart And now the Queen of hearts And all my wondrous thoughts They're no longer with me And I'm sick because the... Holding on for The Queen of Hearts
