I know what you mean I hope, sionna, that you didn't get five tickets just for the sake of it. if you didn't though, congratulations, enjoy the gig. Post a review up for us...........

Thought about it at 11am. then got busy at work and totally forgot about them being on sale until Ray D'Arcy announced that they were sold out. Its good that I'm not going to it or othewrwise I'd be most upset. to the people that are going have a nice time and feel free to give out to him for us....as if!

I was able o buy the tickets from about 4 mins to 12 which I think was a bit unfair for everyone. Hey, it screwed up and allowed me to put in 5 tickets on the dr website, do you think that means I wont get 5? I only wanted 4 but I was frantically clicking and thats what happened. ahhh

Cartman, at 12.18 you hadn't got tickets? But you did eventually?
I thought they were sold out by 12.03? Was it just a system problem saying it was sold out when it wasn't? |

I know I was just staring at the page from about 5 to and I refreshed it and there they were. It did say 4 was the max tho so I don't know if my entire order is screwed up and that I won't get any at all. Oh and it wasn't just ticketmaster, i got them from damienrice.com

I logged on at 12.00 and didn't get to the checkout until 12.26 and that's in work which is a pretty good connection! It was crazy - kept having to refresh!!!! Still I can't complain - I got two tickets!!! Surely with massive hits like that it must say to Damien that he needs to play more gigs and possibly even bigger ones. Does the Olympia not hold more people than Vicar St (which in my opinion can be very dodgy soundwise!). I've just noticed that the DRM online shop is offline at the moment |

i just kept trying and trying with about 4 windows open. Eventually got thru at 13:00 and then 2 mins later all the pages were inaccessible. Still got a dilemma tho |

I'm one of the lucky ones who got a ticket,I had to start a queue in st stephens green, and was standing there on my own for ages like a twat but luckily it paid off!! Hard luck to those who didn't get tickets, loads of my friends didn't get them either, it did suck how they started selling them early.

I'd the same hassle, Ticketmaster.ie wouldn't let me buy tickets for some reason even though it wasn't showing up as sold out yet. Lucky for me, despite the state of damienrice.com (i.e. having to refresh pages 4./5 times to get them to appear) I eventually got two tickets through sheer luck and perseverance at about twenty to 2. One question though. This "unreserved seating" thing? How's that usually work? I've only ever been to comedy gigs in Vicar Street, is this gonna be the same with all the seats and tables etc. Or will they all be stripped out? |

You just get there early and when they open the doors to the inside theres a mad rush to pick the best seat possible. Bit like musical chairs with no music.

Don't worry too much about that though... there are usually two or three at the tables so you should be able to get good enough seats if you're willing to share... which you'll have to do anyway. And it looked to me like the view was pretty good from every seat.
