Congrats to those who got the tickets.... Who's sitting where?

I'm on Table 6 , which should mean some pretty good pictures.Anyone know how many tables per row? My memory says 10...anyone know for sure?!

Dunno if you'll have been told if you bought on the phone, but the website should've told you before you clicked to confirm your purchase, and anyone else will find this information written on the ticket.

Officially, as with every show put on and sold through Ticketmaster, the answer is no. However, i've never had any problems at any venue in Dublin with cameras. I think you're Ok so long as you don't have a big huge telefoto lens like the press would have.

Once had the battery confiscated on the way in to a gig in Cardiff though, and at the Barenaked Ladies in Bristol security were confiscating cameras during the gig and even wiping the disks in people's digital cameras, regardless of what photos were on them. That didn't happen in Dublin though, so it seems to be down to the individual venue.

I've twice taken pictures at Vicar Street, both with a 35mm and with a digital. Once at the Fair Trade gig, and the December DR show, with no problems.

So i'd say you'll be fine. With a 5% chance of you not being fine!

I'll be bringing mine, and am sat in the front, so I'm expecting some good shots to share with you all!

You're upstairs, standing at the back or around the sides (behind the seats). They do that sometimes to pack as many people in as possible !

Yep. Welsh but in Dublin. After I signed up here I figured out a better name for myself (WelshEskimo... well I think it's pretty good) but I don't want to re-sign-up as I've been here since day 2 of the message board (although you wouldn't know it from the feeble number of posts!)

Are you really in the Virgin Islands?!

This is getting a bit off topic, so PM me...

There really is a good view from everywhere in Vicar St. (unless your stuck standing behind me, or some other tall person. But that only happens to unfortunate people like Jeweller!) so you'll be grand.

You'd want to make sure and get up there early and get your spot, i.e. standing directly behind the seats, as those spaces go very quickly.

At the last Bell X1 gig, (whereI was sitting beside the families of the band btw), there was loads of people upstairs already, when we arrived. I wasstrange looking, as there was little or no one sitting down, but there were loads of people standing behind the seats.Edited by: daol20

Im not sure what table, or seats, as i dont have the tickets yet. But was told today that they're front row. Nearly the first pair printed. So i hope to be taking some good shots aswell. Although they wont be on a digital camera this time. So it'll be a little more awkward posting them.

btw, that last time i was at Vicar St. the battery went in my flash. I thought the pics wouldnt turn out but they turned out even better than normal. Because of the lighting, i would recommend not using a flash to get better pics. And that was with a small Sony digital camera with no zoom lens. I wont be using a flash again.Edited by: daol20

christ, t'has been a while since i posted here.

anyways, myself and a few friends will be here:SECTION BLOCKC, ROW B, SEATS 4 TO 1 - any good?

according to ticketmaster, they were the "best available" when ordered just seconds after they went on sale.

Basiclly when trying to sort out where you are sitting first of all check the level.

Level 1: Downstairs

If tables is printed on your ticket you occupy the
main floor. there are c10 tables a row each table holding four
people. Therefore i think that a table ending in 5 will be dead centre.

If you have a section a/b etc and a row then you are
sitting on the side and the back. surrounding the tables.

Level 2: Upstairs

Section a/b etc and row means you are looking down from the balcony.

Unreserved standing means you are upstairs standing at the back of the people sitting.

well i hope this helps. btw any1 else on table 15?
