For the people who saw Damien Rice earlier this year knew Josh would return. Any of you going? I'm gonna buy a ticket, so maybe a meet-up would be cool.

I'm going!Got my ticket already.

Snow Patrol's playing the night before at the Melkweg. Anybody going to that? I can't decide... would love to go, but Amsterdam and back 2 nights in a row in the middle of the week might be a bit much.

Man, i wanna go live in Amsterdam, and check out this Paradiso place. Sounds like a great venue.

Although getting there for the Josh wouldnt be possible.

Hmmm... as much as I love Amsterdam I wouldn't want to live there.I'm happy where I am in Utrecht which is kind of a smaller version of Amsterdam. Always plenty to do but not quite as mad or busy. And I'm only a 30 minute train journey from Amsterdam anyway. Only coming back after gigs is just a matter of luck catching the night train. Miss one and you've got to wait an hour til the next one. No big deal at the weekends, but it is when you've got work bright and early the next morning.

And no big deal if it's just for 1 gig either - but 2 in a row mid-week. Just doubt whether I'll still be able to meet my deadlines if I do that... if only I wasn't self-employed - then I could just phone in sick the next day.

So... everyone excited for tonight? I am!!

Wish I could make it to Josh's performance at Get Records too (@ 18:00) but I won't be able to get to Amsterdam that early. According to Plato's site Snow Patrol have an autograph session + performance today as well - at Concerto (17:30).

I'll be up front too if possible. Looked like we might get there late cos boyfriend's working up north of Groningen today (of all the terrible luck!) but he just rang to say they'll probably be able to leave in half an hour so should be back here early enough to avoid a big panic. Cool! Hope I see her there - I know what Emeline looks like from the photos of her with Josh and Damien with her little cow.

Ahren! Say hi to Emeline and Ahren from me, if you meet her. That will be a nice surprise for her. Just say from "Angela from Tom's board". She'll know And maybe also to the lovely Leenand Marlies...if you remember

Ah, I was already gone when you posted this message so I didn't know to say hello from you. I did meet Emeline (and Ahren) though, but only very briefly. Brilliant gig! More about that later...

Yep, A Girl Called Eddy opened last night. She's really good - beautiful voice and lovely songs. Shame everyone talked (loudly) through her whole set though. I was talking to her afterwards and she said she was used to that. I told her it was the same when Josh opened for Damien and she said that made her feel better, and then offered me some m&m's.

I hope tonight's show is as good as last night's! It was absolutely brilliant. Socool to see him with the band! They were fantastic and so was the atmosphere. They did a really rockin' version of Harrisburg, and an acoustic totally unplugged version of California (beautiful!) and played Wings completely in the dark. Also got to hear Monster Ballads for the first time which is a beautiful song. And there was one I didn't recognise at all - hopefully Mojo_Pin can help figure out what that was. More details later...Edited by: sezmo

arrgh, if ppl are talking tonight too, im gonna be the angry looking, hushing lady. actually i hushed one time, when josh opened for damien, and it seemed to spread, and the room went quiet after a few seconds (and stayed quiet during all of damien's performance) - so ssshh'ing can actually work! the venue is quite small (same venue as tonight), so maybe it is easier to make ppl shut up there than at larger venues.

I actually ssshhh'd some people once last night. They were just starting to play Wings and Josh had asked for the lights to be turned all the way down (so no, it wasn't a technical problem), and a group of 5 or 6 guys behind me just wouldn't stop joking and giggling. But onequick ssshhh from me and they were quiet for the rest of the song.
