There's no word on Vyv's site about her leaving. She does have a load of new tour dates up though. I'd happy about that but for the fact I can't go to any of them

Even worse, I think I have an actual album of his - that I paid actual money for - from my misguided early teens.

i was at the chicago show last night and of course vyv was there. we got to meet her after the show and she is the sweetest person ever - i seriously doubt she's leaving. i saw no signs from any of the band members that she's going anywhere. i think that everyone's getting a little out of control with the "so and so 's leaving the band" rumors after the whole lisa thing. thankfully there was only one person rude enough to yell "where's lisa" last night. it's getting really, really old.

Ronan Keating is the greatest of all crap singers. He's a Dubliner who fronted the multi award (if you can call 'brit awards' a proper award) winning boyband 'Boyzone'. Yes, they truely were as awful as they sound. And to top it off, he was partly responsible for the continuing misery that is known as 'Westlife'.

There is a mild sense of irony in me comparing him to Damien the Rice. Hope you all got it.

The only one I can think of is Iris. But what a cover that was! Probably the worst rendition of one of the greatest songs since sliced bread. His career should be well over after that thankfully.

However that leaves a window open for a Boyzone reunion. Please no.

I don't know if it was Ronan or Boyzone but they covered Tracy Chapman's Baby Can I Hold You = worst cover ever of one of the most beautiful songs ever.

But I think we're safe because you need permission in order to release a cover, don't you? Well, I HOPE SO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember Noel Gallagher didn't give permission to the Smurfs to do Wonderwall So, Damien, if Ronan aks, say NO!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of terrible covers, you guys should really check this one out. It's Gary (of all people) from snow patrol doing his "rendition" of The Blower's Daughter. After hearing this (which was an excrutiating task in itself) I don't think I've ever been so angry in my life! Enjoy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP8_1Rj8r9g

P.S.- I think the most terrible thing about watching this cover is that you'll never be able to retrieve the 2 minutes and 49 seconds of your life that it took to get through it. wannabe.

Just wait for him to sing it with Lisa...

Ah bro, you took that way too far! Man, I was so stoked about getting a restful night's sleep but now that's totally ruined. Let me make one thing perfectly clear...if Lisa Hannigan were to ever sing a duet version of The Blower's Daughter with Gary Lightbody, I would take all the respect and admiration I had for her and flush it down the drain!!! I know this is harsh but no one deserves to have that done to them (I'm talking about Damien that is). I know it's been give n' take with Damo and Lisa over the past few years but this would be the most foul thing to do and it would be at this point that Damo reserves the right to challenge Gary to a duel. In which of course I would be in charge and make sure that both individuals had blanks and were forced to duke it out instead . My money's definitely on Damien!

When did we get so violent? Ah well.

I was going to come in here and give Gary a little bit of credit, but that cover was just bad.

This post was started when someone said that Vyv had quit the band. I'm assuming this is false, since people are just discussing cover songs now?

It would be horrible if she actually did quit, I have tickets to the NY show on Monday!

It appears that it is all rumor - and at the very least - would have been taking some time off to pursue her own interests.

I just got back from the Philadelphia show.

No Vyvienne. though a cello sat on stage untouched the entire concert. I thought that a bit odd.

ahaha.. well.. i want to doubt the fact that she will be leaving... but it is possible.. have u guys heard that song she's done recently? she did funny rap/hip hop type of song (mostly solo i think) and it was kinda squared to say the least... but if she does go her own way, i don't think i can see much of a future unless it's with another group...

Where on the stage was the cello? My partner and I were very concerned from the moment we got to our seats because we saw the bass but no cello/chair for vyv!
