So true Verenita! Facebook makes you lazy with words. But I, too, am a fan of the "like" button and of Facebook itself. It's so fun! I am surprised that you have held out so long.

imho, facebook makes you lazy at so many things, but i can´t say too much about facebook, since i´m beyond reticent to it, so i wouldn´t be fair for sure.

back on topic... no much more to say ... i WANT to listen to the song

LOL, what is that "Like" button ? I use Facebook, but never used that button. Maybe I should not, because it seems addictive...

Want to hear that Damien composition asap!

Vere, why you think FB makes you lazy????? Just curious...

I think FB is ok, in the sense that it helps you connect with old friends and people you know but don't see very often... and it's up to you to choose if you wanna share nothing or a lot...

well, i don´t mean to make a discussion about facebook and i know that it makes something easier somehow. but, to me, it give me nothing more than what e-mails or phone give me. and i think fb cause a lot of (hidden and not that much) troubles that i don´t want to struggle with. it´s fine by me if everybody around the world wants to be on facebook and every each is free (generally speaking, of course) to use. it´s just i don´t choose that way of communication, and i think it´s fine too.

but to answer your specific question. let´s say: some friends of mine tell me: "I´d like TO SHARE some pics of -whatever- with you"; "good, send them by email"; "oh, no, no... they are on facebook already"; "u-hu, but i´m not on facebook (and you know that, he)"; "sorry, then, get an account; catch up yourself".
what? i don´t ask to see any pic and i´m surely not die if i don´t see them (even though i´d like, of course). i guess what i mean is if someone expect to change the ways of communications i choose just to adjust them to what they want or like to share something with me... that person misses the point. does it make sense to you? cause it´s hard to explain, even harder by just words, and in another language...

i don´t mean to offend anybody. so, you go and enjoy facebook

^well, pictures can be shared outside of FB, you don't have to be on FB to see them, links can be shared with everyone...

and I think FB is good with those friends that are not super super friends. There's lots of people that you wouldn't send an email for a silly thing cos there's not enough confidence... but you can comment on a post/status and keep the friendship going...

but yep, returning to the subject of the topic...

any Eskimos going to Santa Barbara??????????

well, i don ´t think he´s anywhere, to be honest
it´s like having more ways to spread what artists do, i guess. i don´t know anything about twitter, but i think it´s the most intant way of communication. just right the way, i guess.

Here's a view from my vantage point.

The performance was great. As you can see it was unplugged and un-miced. As always Damien had a huge voice that filled up the 300 person theatre. He brought out his lowden and was quite gracious. Immediately following the performance, the movie started and he joined the audience.

Well worth the 4 hour drive.

excellent! thanks for recording.. it always amazes me how his voice can fill up a hall (even much larger ones) and in the article when it said you could hear a pin drop.. i've seen that before when no one really knew who he was and were noisy and moving around, and then as soon as he started singing they just stopped and got very still..

it's good to hear him again

ps - how was the film?

Brilliant!! Thanks for sharing that - definitely get chills listening to this, especially during that last crescendo. I always seem to forget how powerful his voice can be until a live vid like this comes along.

I'm curious about the movie too, how was it? I hope it gets a general release soon.

As for the lyrics, this is what I got:

We could wrestle with tomorrow until tomorrow's in the past
Because I have torn apart this view before to prove that nothing lasts
I have stayed locked behind this door to show there's no way out
I got lost within the space between the question and the doubt

On an ordinary day
In an ordinary way
I have combed the cracks of virtue for a place to lay the blame
And I have hated, I have lied
Been guilty, and denied
I’ve dismissed the ones who’ve questioned me, declaring I am right

What if I am wrong?
What if I am wrong?

I have built a wall between
What I believe and what is true
I have sacrificed the love I have for power over you
I have convicted those who disagree
And walked over the weak
I have placed a gun within the mouth of those who dare to speak

On an ordinary day
In an ordinary way
I have crushed the minds of children with extraordinary shame
And I have carried on this war
Though no one wins, an endless fight
I have claimed that God has guided me and killed to prove I’m right

What if I’m wrong?
What if I’m wrong?
What if I’m wrong?
What if I’m wrong?

Is this soul worth saving at all?
‘Cause if I lose my wings then surely I must fall
and crawl... and finally say (pretty unsure about this too)

We can wrestle with tomorrow 'til tomorrow’s in the past
We could tear apart what’s beautiful to prove that nothing lasts
We can stay locked behind the door to show there’s no way out
We got lost within the space between the question and the doubt
What if we’re wrong?
