And he nailed it at the end with ITALTKAW, would have never imagined him playing all alone this way, amazing ! My heart jumped with drums!!! Thank you Damien!

Thanks Abso,
I can't write it better !

This show is insane! I'm only 14 minutes into this recording and totally blown away. This version of Elephant has risen to the top of my list. THANKS!

I still haven't watched the video (I was at down the rabbit hole at the time), but I just read an awful review of the show. Which is weird, 'cause most of the reviews are very positive.

Basically the reviewer calls damien a whiny crybaby and the audience a bunch of hormonal women idolising the guy. Words like "pathetic", "overacting" and "embarrassing" are being used.

Read for yourself if you understand Dutch or if you're good with google translate:

Or maybe, don't read it at all.

does the review mention that there were plenty of gay men in the audience longing to take damien straight to their beds as well?

was the reviewer writing about the gig itself or just about their own opinion on damien?

obviously, i´m not objetive at all, but someone capable to make a song sound as if it was played by a whole band all by himself and to blow many people´s minds, including those who were there to see him for the very first time, it seems to be much more than a whiny crybaby... at least to me.

anyway, thanks for sharing caro. i don´t understand dutch so i won´t read it, but thanks all the same.

And straight men that are willing to make an exception
The strange thing is, he speaks quite positive about his albums and about his gig in the cirque royal late last year. (but with a patronising undertone)
He seems to have made up his mind that damien is not suitable for large stages and festivals :-/

Ok I will not read it,
(I don't understand Dutch)
but I'm sad to read your comment about this review...

Just for everyone if you have 10mn,
take a look at the last song of the night !
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veydXvlrvwE
May be he did it in other shows, but for me it was really mindblowing !!!

And one hour after, while I was driving back to France, I could hear it always in my head !
Damien is a magician and this night was so powerfull...

(sorry for my bad english)

Hey, Claude, as long as you thought it was great, it really doesn't matter what a narrow-minded middle-aged reviewer thinks, right?
