9 crimes in reverse
Just a simple post asking what people think of the demo of 9 crimes just prior to the album version? After hearing the album version so much the demo is a bit of a catch.

I just heard it now and sorry if this was mentioned earlier, but I wanted to keep at least some components of the album a surprise so I didn't read the 9-related threads for a recent while, so...
I think it's got a very Rootless Tree-ish vibe. I like it a lot though, I like the guitars. |

I think that the demo version - particularly the "is that alright with you?"s - seems a lot more accusatory than the album version, which comes across to me as being more regretful. Certainly in the demo Damien's voice seems more aggressive.

And if any of you find it ...you know, I've tried to rip it off from my cd but it wont work on my computer...anyway I like the different sound it has, but the final is not that great, if it was better (I mean, more powerful) this swould be my favourite version of the 2

i like it, but the mixing of the vocals in the chorus is pooey and abit unpleasant on the ol' ears. But tis only a demo - and that aside, I really like it.

I haven't been able to "find" it either that is, I don't own an actual CD player, I play all my CDs on either the computer or in the car. The car's player won't reverse it, and neither will the comp. Bummer.
Anyone want to post an mp3 of it? I'll love you insanely if you do.

Second that...I know it's possible to buy it, but what the heck I've already paid for the album itself...

O was done on a small multi-track recorder. The Volcano demo was recorded on a Walkman.
