I hope that is not true. Lisa is an important Part of Damien`s Music.
But for now, we have to wait for an officially statement. |

But such thinking is kind of selfish, isn't it? Anyway, I still don't think that it makes much sense. I mean, leaving the band you've been working with for years, is not a decision you make in between soundcheck and a gig. Especially not Lisa. No way. |

Like all i hope this is not true, and if it would be, then i hope that the problems are resolved quickly. I see Damien in a week at the Brussels gig.
It's my first gig ever, i would be disappointed if Lisa wouldn't be there. Damien rice for me is a group effort. Even my favorite songs are those with Lisa on the vocals. |

Again: this is no joke. The only hope we can have is that they clarify their quarrel or whatever it was.
It's been also reported that both Damien and Lisa looked quite messed up after the incident even though Damien said that it's not that bad...who knows, he didn't want to tell about the real reason. Plus, that Lisa can be very jealous at times and endorse her moods on Damien. Really lookin forward to the official statement, too. Last edited by Hendrik; 03-18-2007 at 10:25 AM. |

Hey guys, I'm going to the Milan show tonight so we'll have a better clue if this thing is true or not. I'd be pretty pissed off if it was though. Might actually get around the venue this afternoon to try and catch the guys at soundcheck time and have a look if Lisa's missing.

It is very simply to be spread rumours. Especially on the Internet.
Before an official statement I don`t belive it! Lisas absence can have many reasons. |

Hope this can't be true!!
It may have many reasons, but when she was sick or something he could have told the crowd, right? It's not that i want to make the rumors even worse... but I think they had at least a fight or something... But i'm hoping really badly that she's going to be there tonight and giving away a n amazing gig to the Italians... and the next concerts... otherwise I'm going to be fed up with the fact that I didn't go to Koln instead of Brussels... It's the first time I'll see Damien Rice (in Tilburg), and I waited for 3 years... and although it's Damien Rice where I'm coming for... he's not complete without Lisa... So let's hope! And please tell us tonight after the Italian gig that it was just a rumor |

oh this is bad, because lisa is one of the biggest reasons damiens music is the way it is in my opinion. she is my favourite vocalist ever and i think if she leaves then so does one of the main reasons i love damien rice so much.
im sure he would still be good, but lisa voice adds so much emotion and mood into all of damiens songs, and without her im not sure id enjoy his music half as much as i do, even if the quality of the songs remain the same....its just not the same without her voice behind him. oh i hope this isnt true.

To be quite honest, i think all this is sad; immediately jumping to conclusions i mean. Come on, think about all the possible explanations!
Obviously it would be really sad if Lisa didn't carry on, but i wouldn't get too jumpy just yet.

If Lisa leaves for good, will the picture of her on the main page and her bio be taken off?

Alright Hendrik, get your story right. On your first post (quoted above) you admit that your acquaintance is the one who's close friends with Damien. THEN, in your second post, you say that your acquaintance knows someone who is close to Damien. Well, which one is it? It's either one or the either and cannot be both. And look, if all this is in fact true, then that will really suck. But if you're going about spreading rumors, you're better off gone. |

"who's friends with a close friend of Damien", that's what I wanted to say! Sorry about the typo.

Okay, that's much better. Little things like that really do matter so just take the extra 30 seconds or whatever to review your post before you submit it. And in regards to the whole "hostility" mess, there's absolutely no reason to bring that up. I'm a grammatarian and little typos like the one above really get on my nerves. Take it how you wish. |
