ok, i will try to write a fair review of vicar st. gig last night, but marti is really in charge

i must say that i was a little bit frustrated during and after the gig, because i couldn´t feel all the things that i read you feel at her gigs. i wish i did, but it didn´t happen to me. i guess i´m not moved by her music that much (which is, i know, a pity, but it is what it is, i can´t help it).

however, i did enjoy the gig (just for the record, marti ). i could see how much lisa loves performing live, she was in a great mood and happy because she finally got her driving licence, hehe, and the whole band get on very well on stage. and i´m just glad i could witness that. saying that her voice is amazing is redundant, isn´t it?

marti will provide you guys with the set list... cause he got lisa´s one! he´s a professional at this kind of stuff, hehe. he also got the deer´s horns that lisa wore and threw it out to the audience... and also, he helped lisa to find the xylophone (while her friend and meself didn´t even know what she was looking for, hehe). i think he had the chance to film one song or two and to take a few pictures (people were not allowed actually).

it was so nice to finally met you, marti. i enjoyed hanging out with you and your friend before the gig (we bumped into a xmas gig in the street and we caught a very good band, imo) and i am very happy for all the souvenirs you took home with you

so, all in all, i´m glad i finally managed to see lisa live. it was a nice experience indeed.

Vere was great meeting you too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the gig was amazing!! Lisa has grown so much, she's so confident performing, she evn tells jokes!!!! who would have imagined!! loved the gig so much and yes I even grabbed Lisa's antlers when she threw them to the audience

got the setlist at home but basically she did all the new album + flowers + the best off Sea Saw. She did a sorta stripped version of Lille that was very beautiful plus Little Bird was also very quiet and magic!! and the audience was really into the show, everybody singing to Safe Travels

i waited for you to tell one the most magical moments... it was the first song of the encore. lisa came up with all the xmas lights over her body to sing with john smith (i think the song is called "tonight you belong to me"). lisa was doing funny faces along the song.

i could see her confidence, but i can´t compare, since it was my first time seeing her live. marti, do you have a few pic or you couldn´t take any in the end? merry christmas

only managed to record 1 video at Vicar St, they were kinda nazis but I think you can really appreciate in the video how fragile, but at the same time, fierce and powerful Lisa can be...

Was anyone at the New Year's gig? There's not many videos
I like the one of Lisa and Maria Doyle Kennedy doing 'video games.' And the group 'Heroes' - oh, how I'd love to see that in full! It cut off right before Lisa's part.

From New Year's I see Video Games (incomplete), Heroes (incomplete), Knots/Eye of the Tiger, You Ain't Going Nowhere (incomplete).

I just feel like if they aren't going up soon, we may never see them. I don't trust the pro videos from Turning Pirate. They only gave us a Part 1 of last year, with no Part 2 to follow and no full songs except one Our Little Secrets performance.

hehe, you know. i remember you told me you didn´t get my fav line from teeth "i had a swing when my salt was my own", and i was about to ask you if you got at the end of the song, but i didn´t want to interrupt you.

regarding little bird, my fav line is "you are lonely as a church despite the queuing out your door"... but my favourite songs from passenger are nowhere to go and definitely home.

Eurosonic takes place in Groningen (in the north of The Netherlands), and yeah she was here! In fact, she was opening act and performed a total of 3 times (approx 40 minutes each) during the festival. So apparently they like her

I got to see her at her last performance (at the best venue) and it was amazing. To finally see her in real life really was the highlight of the festival. I did make some videos, but my phone couldn't handle the volume, so the sound really sucks!

Btw, Eurosonic is the most important showcase festival of Europe, where all festival organisers, labels, venues, radio stations, etcetera, come to see what Europe has to offer this year. So I bet she will finally get some airtime and perhaps new tour dates on the mainland. For example, yesterday I heard "What'll I Do" here on the radio, so she's catching on already.

My mam and brother went to the gig and just reported from it, since I'm not in the country these days. They said, she played a second gig just after the first for all the people that couldn't get into the gig the first time around. So, she basically played to gigs in a row. But both of them were very short with about 7songs, mainly the new stuff. Also, apparently she was very chatty and excited that so many people came to see her. The venue was tiny.
My brother took a few pics that he's gonna send me in the next few days, but here's one for now...

I'm so glad for her (and for us!!!) that she is finally doing gigs in the rest of Europe, hopefully there will be a proper tour with lots of dates this year!

Here's a few clips from her gig in Berlin:

Passenger:

Littel Bird:

Paper House:

Knots:

O Sleep:

You ain't goin' nowhere:

She seems so nervous and shy, but very well done, Lisa!

shy is her personality certainly - but I thought she looked quite happy throughout - especially loved passenger and knots!
