I like that they've split up this way, I think it will strengthen both parties' work.

"1: Hey :-) just finished another I&W tour, visiting my folks in Czech now. Wanted to share with u I am a married woman now. I got married to" ...and finish! No second twitt (ten hours have passed since this one)

^ Nope, the Chicago Reader says she married Tim Iseler, a sound engineer and bass player in her band, a week and a half ago.

yes it's true!! July 14, 2011 MUSIC » GOSSIP WOLF Gossip Wolf: A swell season for a wedding Oscar winner Marketa Irglova moves to town and marries her man. It's wedding bells for one Chicago rock 'n' roll couple: recent local transplant and Swell Season front woman Marketa Irglova wed her beau, Soma engineer Tim Iseler, in a civil ceremony last week. The pair produced Irglova's solo debut this winter, and Anti- will release it in October. Gossip Wolf sends a big, hairy congratulations to the newlyweds!

everybody should try & catch Glen on the current tour... he's doing a mix of old Frames songs + some Once songs + new songs from this forthcoming solo album + lots of versions... and shows last like 2 h 30 min so MUST-GO gigs
Saw him yesterday in Rome, fantastic gig in a church with great acoustics. Filmed these 3 only... Leave with Glen forgetting the lyrics Seven Day Mile All the Way Down, rather prefer his version than Mar's... sorry

From Marketa's twitter:
"In a new york studio with Glen, singing on some of his beautiful new songs for his solo record its always a pleasure and an honor. " Also she went to a "Once the musical" and she said she loved it.

Bummer. I think she sounds like Marlee Matlin when she sings.

So how is it a solo record if Mar sings on some tracks? Sounds like the formula for a Swellie album, lol. Regardless, I'm awaiting Mar's solo anxiously. She was pretty much a backup singer to the Glen Hansard show in the Swell Season, much as I love Glen. Excited to see her strike out on her own.

^Anar, her solo album, is out, isn't it? I mean, I have some version of it om my 'puetr. I think it's mediocre and lacking in energy - I wish I didn't feel like this, I do feel big sympathy with the girl, but I do not like it.

^yes was released like 2/3 months ago not crazy about it either... I loved Crossroads live solo on piano only but the album version lacks something...

Yeah I tried to edit my post but I guess it didn't take. The clips I listened to didn't impress me either. I'm not interested in a Joni Mitchell knockoff; thought she'd come up something original, and not the same slow sad songs she made before. Oh well.
