* doesnt give a ****e
* long hair
* loves the wildlife
* mates regularly.

but now i think about it his physical aspect looks more like a monkey...

I think the Belfast gig in Feb 04 was earlier than the Galway gig, in which case we have a new winner for "oldest sighting of the patchwork shirt"
So here you go, taken by Mr. Andrew Brown....

I just went looking for some more pictures of it... I don't think these have been posted yet

I didn't know there was an actual poster out there with this shirt! Oh, I need to get my hands on one of these!

I hope we get some recent pics of him in this shirt soon...

He just wore it last night, too, at the Hiro after party. He got a kick out of the fact that, two and a half years ago, the first time we met, he had on the same shirt and I had on the same jacket. I told him about this thread and how long it was he was both amused and completely amazed. There is now a MASSIVE hole in the back of the collar. You might even say there's now more hole than collar left. What can you say, comfort is comfort.

P.S. I have only three pics of him after the show. The reason being it was incredibly dark in there. First two are like candlelit so I don't believe you can see much shirt detail. The only good lighting shot of him was once we were outside and by then he'd put on his coat. So you can't see very much of it then either but there's still just enough photo proof to document another wearing.

He was also wearin' the ol' gal on Friday's Jo Whiley show fiasco:

I'm sure you ladies will say it's adorable but he's looking positively rodential in that last one.

You know, I was thinking a few pages back in this thread that in one of the pictures where he's sweaty and his mouth is gaping wide open in song that he looks an AWFUL lot like one of the sweet, little heroin addicts I counsel at our county jail. But, yes, adorable nonetheless.

She's a DJ at BBC1 radio. The studio he was to play at had a power failure so the three of them (Damo, Lisa, Cora) had to be quickly taxied over to the other studio which meant they had only time for two songs instead of 4-6 like most radio mini-concerts.

Top,
It's not the shagginess that's makin' him look like a baseboard-hole-dwellin' cheese eater. It's his face in that shot. He just happens to look like his nose is super long and like he has buck teeth/massive overbite at that angle. I honestly don't think either is true or, if it is, it's certainly not prominent enough to ever have been noticed previously. Would've made the perfect photo cover for a "Rat within the Grain" single, though.
