Meteor Awards - DR not nominated

This shocking, the guy wins the american music prize, tours america several times, sells out a full uk tour not mentioning vicar st and yet the nominations are:-

Paddy Casey (could do better)

Damien Dempsey (couldnt do much worse)

Glen Hansard (couldnt be believed)

Micky Joe Harte (could last til easter)

David Kitt (could get a day job)

Is he not allowed to be entered because 'O' didnt come out in 2003, or are Meteor just fuc kwits. The latter I presume

On tv3 news they announced that the Thrills were being nominated on the Brits, and made a big deal about how they were representing Ireland and then said not one word about Damien!![img]smileys/smiley7.gif[/img]

Its really carppy that he didnt get nominated but I canyt say anything bad cause i like all the people who are nominated cause there all good artists!Glen or Mickey will get it!People have mickey harte all wrong he isnt eurovision I didnt like him when I heard that song but somehow I ended up at one of his gigs(dont ask)and it was actually a really good show he has a great band and some great songs!

And glen hansard and The frames are an amazing band!

So as much as its crappy that Damien wasnt nominated cause he definitely shud have,the others arent all that bad!But really my nominations would have been

Damien Rice

Luka Bloom

Paul Brady

Brian Kennedy

Brian Houston

Christy moore

Paul casey!

The Thrills are trying to be the Beach Boys and the singer is trying to sound like Neil Young...

They are the worst band to come out of Dublin in a while and I really do not like them at all...I don't see what all the fuss is about.

There's The Thrills, then there's Damien...
