I thought this was more appropriate here than the trading section, so yes, the date is drawing ever closer.

Is there anyone who can record it with some serious gear? I'm not in a position to myself, unfortunately.
I'm just hoping it won't be another case of having a barely audible recording that's crackily and usually happens in Dublin.

I just think this show will be a pretty monumental one for Damien and the band, so it'd be great to have a good recording of it.

...and as long as there's one listenable version, I'll be happy. Somebody out there in Dublin is buying the pro mics and battery packs

this vicar street gig, (which takes place in vicar street to answer your question) is only the envy of all but 1000 damien rice fans on the planet, since the tickets have been sold out from the start of time and most (including myself) would give a few vital organs to go. I just feel sorry for some poor "minus 18 year old" who has a ticket and is four feet tall w/ baby face. that person is in for a bad x-mas. oh bittersweet vengence...
