Hello rey, welcome to the igloo.

I agree with Melissa, your little girl is beautiful! (also, nice to see someone who's over 30 join us)!

velly velly velcome, rey - thanks for sharing so much with us already. i'm just listening to the free song from your sig - I REALLY LIKE IT! i love the great feeling of peace in it - there's a lot of space between every chord and itloads the song with atmos, imo.love your voice.

it's my impression that your daughter has sort of 'wise eyes' - does that make any sense?

Thank You much,

I think it's awsome that us older folks can admire the younger generation for what they are doing artistcally. I only discovered Damo perhaps only early last year but he has become one of my all time favorite and a huge inspiration........

Peace

Hi Cecilie,

Cool space you have on the net at Audioscrobbler there's a lot of great music over there. Thank you for your positive comments on my song I appreciate it greatly, that song is dear to me.....

I do know what you mean about my little rascal, she seems to me to be an old soul, believe me many times she's a typical five year old but every once in a while I catch a glimpse of a much older spirit....

Thanks again

Peace

Rey, I listened to your free song a couple of days ago, and I just wanted to say that I have found it incredibly soothing, your voice has a very calming effect on me. Just what I need right now, thank you.

Thanks Chris for the welcome......

And Marilyn, thank you, likemost other singer songwriters, the most rewarding thing beyond money or recognitionis the underlying hope that you will connect with someone else, that in itself is priceless.

I'm thrilled for that!

....i agree with that totally, that is, or should be the goal of it all. we all listen to music and it helps us and we take from it. to potentially return that to someone else is beyond amazing.

...also love the guitar. what year?

Hey Josh,

I truely believe those words.....

That's a mystery! I looked up the serial # on Martins website and there is no listing for it so I'm not sure.

I have been saving my pennies for two years to buy a guitar like this one but something always came up! Ya know little things would come up, anyway, I walked into a Guitar Center that was out of town because a good friend gave me a gift certificate to that store. Normally I would go to the local store for anything I buy but there it was hanging on the wall with strings so old they were black, I picked it up and strummed it and I knew that was the guitar I wanted, It was cracked on the side from the neck all the way to the mid part and the price was 700 dollars marked down from 1600 hundred.

So I bought it that day!

Hey Joseph,

What part of theCalifornia are you from?

Inspiration??

It's funny you should ask that question 'cause I've had a lot of that going on lately.......

Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and Mindy Smith

Joseph Arthur, Tom McRae and Josh Ritter very recently......

Do you know of any in particular that I should listen to?

Thanks for listening, when I get my rear moving on finishing a record, I'll let you know...

Peace

Hello Rey,

I've just been wondering if you have ever written any lyrics for your songs in Spanish?

Hi Marilyn,

Actually, I have been thinking of doing that on some of my songs, I do speak spanish fluently..I just need to translate them so they make sense.
