Monday 26th February on BBC 6 Music
Damien is doing an acoustic set on:
BBC 6 Music / Monday 26th February / 22:00 to 01:00 Programme info: Shaun remembers the early days of the Kaiser Chiefs by replaying their support slot for the Ordinary Boys in September 2004 when both bands featured in Lamacq In The City at the Nottingham Rescue Rooms. Reading in 1992 is the focus of Festival Feast and there's an acoustic set from Damien Rice.

I think it was still nice, never heard these versions before... But this show always plays old sessions from the bbc archives...
If you go to the website, they already have today's show up... you can listen again... I think it will be there for 1 week... |

You can listen again!! Go to the Shaun Keaveny Music 6 website:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/sh...ny/index.shtml and click on the Mon show (it says something about the Kaiser Chiefs). Damien' s bit is about 1.50 min into the show. Don't worry, there is a fast forward button... Did you guys understand what this Shaun Keaveny says when introducing Damien. He presents him as Damien Half Chips Half Rice... or something like that... I didn't get the joke, if that's a joke... The guy was getting something like 5 wrong facts per minute, eg, he introduced Cannonball as Delicate... he also said something wrong about the O Valencia song by the Decemberists, said the word was French or Italian when in fact it's Spanish... |

Hmm, for some reason, it won't fast forward for me...

Anyone heard of this Angus and Julia Stone before? That "Mango Tree" song is quite gorgeous.
I'd rather not hear "Prague" played if it's done that way. May just be the worst performance I've ever heard him give.

Yea I was just flicking through the show and I heard it. It is excellent. Never heard them before. Did the gut on the show say they are from Oz.

Cheers must keep an eye out for them at the glee club. U weren't at the frames there the other night. I got lazy and decide not to go just wondering how it went.

I was at a gig the last Nov there. martha tilson was playing and there was this guy called gary nock on before her. He was excellent but he played a cover of sand and I thought it would be unreal if damo played the glee club. Great venue and good ticket prices.
