Why is Closer not in the movie Closer?

I was wondering... Damien did this song called Closer, which as the title suggest was intented for the movie... then, why the soundtrack has The blower's daughter and Cold water but not Closer???

Anyone??

He really wrote it too late? What do you mean, that he had a deadline and didn't finish it in time???

I'm sure if they had really wanted it in the film they could have edited it in, apparently he only handed it in a few days late or something. I'd imagine it had more to do with the fact that it was a fairly unremarkable song. Hence the playing it once and all that.

Yeah, pretty much. He talked about it in an Austrailian interview a couple of years back but I don't know where to find it now. Apparently he also played it at one of those shows too, on his own. Though of course, that recording has never surfaced.

Have the lyrics been transcribed, they are not in the lyrics section, and Lisa's part is pretty hard to figure out...

I just saw that a few days ago! I thought Delicate was a perfect fit for the scene. It was such a charming little movie

i also remember an mp3 of it floating about but im not 100% sure of that.

theres another movie in which damiens music is in... i can't remember the name and I did not watch it all... but it has to do with some english politician who falls in love with some younger girl... and that's all I know haha... sorry. but i just know flipping through the channels and hearing damien was a pleasant surprise.
