i'll be at the show in firenze. i'm studying at the moment in siena and can't make the other shows but will be in and will be recording in florence. if anyone wants to say hi and help me out a bit and show me things (such as where the hell the venue is) to make sure i can get there to record and then back here to siena it would be greatly appreciated. reply or send me a PM and i can give you my italian cell number and other info i have here.

and on a sidenote i love that the firenze show only costs 18 euros with convenience charge. the damn show in los angeles cost me $40 which is like 32 euros

luminall, I will record the shows I'm going to (i.e. Bologna for sure, and maybe Firenze and Milano) so don't worry; but if you want to try as well drop me a line and I will try to give some suggestions

AllThatLies, I don't know if I can get to Firenze but if so we can meet somewhere and go altogether: I don't know where the venue is but I have friends there who can teach me.

By the way, the last year show in Milano costed sort of 6 euros or something like that [img]smileys/smiley10.gif[/img]

dmbit, what do you use to record the shows. i'll be using my normal setup. AT831s->batt box->nomad JB3 i'm the guy that taped the 30/5/03, 4/10/03, and 21/11/03 gigs if you didn't know that.

what do you mean by any tape? do you mean one to listen to or stuff to record? if you're looking for a "pro" setup for recording you're going to spend some money. decent mics, a battery box for them, and a cheap minidisc player will run you about $250. my personal setup runs about $600 or so when i use the full rig but i may upgrade to better mics soon in which case it would go for about $900 or thereabout. most good recording equipment you'd have to get online.

AllThatLies, I use the same equipment except for my recorder, which is an Aiwa AM-F75 Minidisc. If you are recording Firenze, that's great, because I don't know if I can get there yet.

And for luminall, I only have 4.11.2003 and 5.11.2003 but if you're interested I can copy them for you... but they're a little similar since they were two shows in a row...

check out the ftp as well as sharingthegroove.org for new bit torrent downloads. i have personally recorded damo 3 times so far. i have probably about 10 or so live damien shows as well but can't help anyone out right now since i am far away from home. if you're curious as to what i have i think they're all on my list at http://db.etree.org/thegame920

It's really not as hard as you think - Typing 'Damien Rice Bootleg' into google provides you with two trading sites (one's mine of course, and I'm too busy to really trade at the mo) and Loveless' Bootography which should help you on your way too. Must try harder [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]

Well, they're not exactly the same, since the song order is different and two or three songs were played on one show but not on the other one... but the rest, I mean versions of the same songs, played on both shows, they're much similar. If I would have to choose, I would choose 5.11 in Milano because I was there and it was amazing and also because the guy who taped the show was me [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img], but of course, if you want, I can send you the setlists so you can choose [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]
I can give you for B&P or, which is better said: if we get to meet in Firenze or Bologna, you must bring two blank CDs and I will give you the recorded CDs; if not, you should send me the blanks with a self-addressed, already stamped (is that correct? I mean " già affrancata") enevelope, which I would use to send the CDs back to you.

That's because there aren't really any websites where you can download bootlegs. You have to TRADE via post to get your hands on them. I'm sure someone over on the Trading forum has more time to explain it all.

Actually, there are some ways to download other shows without trading. If you search in the Trading forum, there are a couple of FTP servers with many shows in, but it's very hard to login since they are always full. But sometimes, some show is also downloadable with Bit Torrent: keep your eyes on that forum for announcements.

I'm working on a new edit of the show, I think it should be ready for the Bologna gig. Actually, I hope it will be ready next week: I've already remastered the 2nd CD and I hope to manage to work on the other one next weekend.
