I asked Damien after the Pittsburgh show if he would ever play it, he said he was still trying to learn the words. Taking french during high school, this was my favorite song. I know in one of his recordings he says he is trying to learn it, then plays a song which he says kinda of pays hommage to it.

In the bootleg of La Cigale in paris, damien told the story why he
can't sing Jacque Brel song, it is the track just before "Hommage a
Jacque Brel".

Yeah the tracks are free to download.

Before the track, he told that he went in France (Paris and Lyon)when he was young (15 year old) for a change. Later, when he was older he was in paris with some french friends who make him discover Brel and told him that nobody can sing Jaqcues Brel songs (because he wanted to sing Brel's songs).

So he decided to write a song with "the power of Jaqcues Brel's song". The song is the Hommage song.Edited by: kikikoukou
