The show was so amazing!!! He was in such a good mood!!
He even stood in a stool towards the end and played The Professor. He did it so that all short people could see him.

9 crimes
Coconut skins
Delicate
The box
It takes a lot ...
IDWTCY
Amie
Trusty and True
Women like a man
Elephant
I remember ( probably one of the best ones i've seen him play!)
TBD
Volcano (galagalactic played/sang with him)
The professor
Long way back (with galagalactic)
I hadnt heard it live and it was beautiful!!

I'm interested in seeing/hearing Galagalactic with Damien on Volcano and Long Long Way. Hope there are recordings.

I particularly loved it takes a lot to know a man and long long way. Both had so much energy and were phenomenal. It was nice to hear strings with volcano again. He wasn't very talkative at the beginning but after the first encore he became more lively and fun. I was really hoping he'd keep playing!

I felt like some of their music would fit in perfectly as a movie score. It was very hard to understand some of the words she was singing though

But not happy that in the last 2 shows he's dropped MFFF acoustic as opener, that was perfect

Thanks for posting this. It seemed to pop up this week. What are they (she?) like live? They have great musicality but not a big fan of the voice. I can't seem to understand her in the recording either (kind of bjorky?). Would love videos!!

Sad about color me in and mfff. It Takes A Lot... is my new live favorite so I'm glad he's not skipping that. Was it a harder show?

It's like he doesnt wanna play the album in full
The maximum he's done in the same gig is 7 + Camarillas in Montreal (all but the box)

I also couldnt find any information on Galagalactic, but it was Shazad (the guy from the show at The Box) and some girl named Gyda. I kind of liked her voice but i agree that you could hardly understand what she was singing and to be honest i was ready for them to be over and let Damien come out hehe
But she did sound good when she joined for Volcano and Long Way. She didnt really know the lyrics from Volcano so when Lisa's part came, Damien was actually telling her what her lines where, it was pretty funny and cute, i liked her!
And Long Way really blew me away. He started saying how 7-8 years ago he pretty much had everything he wanted, very successful, was making lots of many but it was the time when he was probably the most unhappy. Then he sang Long Way which i thought was so full of emotion, i was tearing up a bit.
I was able to tape ITALTKAM, but then a security guy came to me and pretty much told me to STOP IT! I was right in front of the stage so after that i didnt record anything :'(
Im hoping someone did !!

I was able to see him after the show and he told me that there might be some South American dates in October!!

Oh, Gyda, she's great! That's the girl from Múm. She played with him and Shazad in the kaffibarinn in Reykjavik a couple of years ago.

Their instrument playing is beautiful and she has a pretty voice, but I don't think I'd listen to them regularly. I much preferred their collaboration with Damien over their solo songs.

It was a bummer he didn't play mfff or the greatest bastard, but I'm going to that record store thing so hopefully he'll play one of them there

Oh! It all makes sense now. I saw a few Shazad performances on YouTube after seeing him with Damien last year. He and Gyda seem very arty! Music to be experienced, rather than listened to in your car on your commute to work. Both seem very talented and quirky! I would love to see them perform!

Im crossing my fingers too! The likelyhood of him playing in either Peru or Ecuador i think is non-existant but if hr does venture down there im sure Argentina and Brazil will be included!

And yes, I feel the same way about Long long way. Hopefully u get to hear it live!!

so Galagalactic are basically what we thought was gonna be his touring band this year, maybe they´re starting to practice for the summer tour? cos the current tour is perfect for small theatres but cannot see him with the harmonium at rock Werchter or Primavera

He has played festivals solo before and he had no problems quieting down the crowd and bewitching the audience.
I'm still secretly hoping that Vyv will join him on the Irish dates though
