You push me I fall

Nothing unusual, nothing strange
Close to nothing at all The same old scenario, the same old rain And there's no explosions here |

"what i am to you is not real (...) what i am to you is not what you mean to me."
(in my mind, he "says" that to me.)

If I can pick one that describes who I am, it would probably be this, from "Older Chests":
we all seem to need the help Of someone else To mend that shelf Too many books Read me your favourite line I can break it myself. I can fill my life with everything that gets me through a night: Drugs, alcohol, girls, boys, counting sheep, watching digital digits change, news, politics, weapons, war, crying, smokes, books even. Whatever. So for one night I escape from what got me to want to escape to begin with. The crack begins, it's still small. And then another night, and another, and yet again. The crack grows. The weight of whatever it was I escaped with is too large to carry. But I never seem to be able to fix it myself. It's not that I need someone else. I know what's the best thing that I got from it all. I know my favourite line. I just don't seem to have the motivation. That's what it means for me. |

I think we need a seperate thread for un-world defining lyrics from Damo... such as;
Much respect Don't disrespect He's got the power

I have to cheat and list three:
"You gave me three cigarettes to smoke my tears away" -Cheers Darlin' "You think you know my world, wake up young girl" -Sand "And I'm always hanging on, And I'm always closing doors, And I'm always saying no, No, When I really really want it all" -Bottom Shelf |

Do you come
Together ever with him? And is he dark enough? Enough to see your light? And do you brush your teeth before you kiss? Do you miss my smell? And is he bold enough to take you on? Do you feel like you belong? And does he drive you wild? Or just mildly free? What about me? |

Can't believe no one's mentioned this one - it defines the enlightened, ambivelent man.
Loving is good if it's not understood Yeah, but I'm the professor And feel that I should know What makes her come and what makes her stay? What makes the animal run, run away and What makes him tick apart from his prick And the lonelier side of the jealousy stick I don't know, I don't know, I don't know No I don't know, I don't know, I don't know No I don't know, I don't know, I don't know Hell I don't know you any more No, no, no no... |

First of all, this is my favorite thread I've ever seen on here. Thank you, everyone, for starting it and for participating.
There are too many.... so I, too, need to cheat... Right now these came to mind: "Why'd you sing with me at all?" "I've submerged And I've surfaced with the blame I guess I'm no good I guess I'm insane" "But I’ve still got me to be your open door, I’ve still got me to be your sandy shore I’ve still got me to cross your bridge in this storm And I’ve still got me to keep you warm" or how about.... "How I know Go bow end send mend bend pretend Shut your face again Bleed seed need read breath on my knees How I choose to breath Lie cry learn grow slow fall stall How I build my wall Hate wait bait kiss or taste the place And make weather in my face The only one that you know I wanna live, wanna die, wanna grow old with you I wanna be the only one that you know 'Cause I adore you I do yeah" ...I'm having kind of a heavy night. Thanks for listening! |

"And I'd like it to be ......something If you'll just be real with me If you'll just be real with me And I'll just be real with you And I'll just be real with you And I'll, I'll......" This addition to eskimo is just toooooo goood. i loooove it! it's a bit big buuut ya *awaits someone to tell him it's run not roll... (i'm fairly sure it's roll :P)

"Well I wouldn't want you to want to be wanted by me. I wouldn't want you to worry you'd be drowned within my sea. I only wanted to be wonderful, and wonderful is true. In truth, I only really wanted to be wanted by you." - The Rat Within The Grain that might end up in my sig as well
