Does anyone know if the album is "out there" yet?

Obviously I'll be there on day 1 to buy it, but I need it now!!!

Not that we know of, no. Only the song Nine Crimes is 'out there'.

I'll be avoiding the leaked copies like the plague mixed with the clap. After four years of waiting I think I can at least give it the benefit of not listening to it at 128kbps. Bollocks to that. It sort of reminds me of a phone poll that MTV were doing in 1991, to see if people would like to hear Smells Like Teen Spirit, and tens of thousands of people's first experience of Nirvana was with some sales clerk on the telephone. I repeat;

it's always tempting, but i'm going to just leave it until it's officially released. takes all the fun out of going out, buying the cd, taking it home and just listening to it in full

a couple of years ago, an album i really wanted was pretty much available on the bands' website. ya could listen to it all on there whenever ya wanted. so i did. and when the cd came out, i bought it, but rarely listened to it. mainly because it wasn't new to me. i'd already gone through the stage of listening to it to death

i tell ya what though, the cd won't leave my car for a while! and i'm going to get as much people into it as i can

I can't say either way. I was against the whole leak thing and when Snow Patrol album was coming out I wasn't going to but i was looking for a tracklist and google came up with a blog that had the album and i couldn't resist. Bought it afterwards though i'd like to say.

In short if 9 throws its self at me at head height, I wont duck

I have never downloaded a leaked album before I can buy it, and never will. Hell, I don't even download albums. I prefer getting the album with the booklet and all.

Also I agree, what's a few weeks? Til it comes out, I'll just busy myself with this

i want to wait too. but who are we kiddin', most of us already have a gazillion versions of most of the songs off that album. that's why some people are dissapointed with the studio version of 9 crimes, we've been listening to that song since, what? 2003?

anyway, the only thing i could do is wait... cause i don´t know when i can get this album (but i will someday, promise)... damien is no well knowing artist in argentina (so sad!)

128kbps is soooooo 1998. All leaked advanced copies are ripped at 192VBR.

If 2006 is 192kbps, and 1998 is 128kbps, then why is 1991 1411kbps and 1962 3500kbps? Does that seem wrong to you? Are we going backwards? Leaks are all well and good until it's your colon.
