ive been tryin to learn some of damien's songs but so far haven't been very sucessfull, the only one ive managed so far is volcanos. i would realy like to learn cannonball but all the tabs ive found dont seem to match the album version of the song, is it caus someof the tune is carried by the bass or whats going on?? ive looked at the tabs here but they seem the same as the olga and mxtabs versions.

can any one suggest anyother tabs, techniques or whateverso ican in my own humble way try andre-creat some of the magic?

The Tab on this site is ok, not 100% but a good starting point. The problem is that there are two guitar parts on the album version, so it's hard to get it to sound right on your own.

There is a musicians forum where you can get more help.

I think there's even more guitars than that! Watch one of the live vids to get some clues on how he plays it. I kinda play my own version of it that is a mixture of the various guitar tracks cos you can't get the exact same sound from just one.

yeah i think you may be right tomarse...to my mind i can hear three parts on some parts of the sone, especially the outro.....i know a very good player can make it sound like one guitar is two, and if there was one more that might explain it, but i dunno if thats whats actually going on...i'll have aother listen and see.......

Fair play, you play the bits you like, the cheeky hammer-ons and pull-offs, the subtle slides. It can be done, but its not easy!

If you want to play cannonball solo I would recommend that you download the version from the Paradisso gig off of the ftp, its an MP3 so not that big. Lisa wasn't there to play guitar so its just Damien. It sounds great.
