Default LA show roll call - Oct. 9th '14

Although Damien Rice fans are spread around the world, I'm curious...
What forum members are headed to the Los Angeles show ?
The old gothic church for a venue looks awesome and perfect for him, I've never seen it before.

Ill be there. +1

See you there.

I saw Ray Lamontagne there a few months back.

A few shots of irish whiskey with I Remember playing in the background,
suddenly your finger will make the right choice and click that submit button.
I wish we knew if the whole band was playing or not.

How early do you think I'd have to get there to be in the front row? How early are you guys planning on showing up?

I'll probably be in the area by 6pm...ticketmaster says something about 7pm.
Not sure if there will be an opening act or not, I'll be checkin to see how the SF goes down, to get an idea for what to expect.
I have no expectations of getting my ideal seat, but we'll see...can't wait.

I was there early for both the presage and the regular sale and was not able to secure even a single ticket. The one time I got a successful hit the sale didn't go through cause Ticketmaster would not accept a card with billing address outside of the US and Canada. And now there's tons of tickets available on StubHub for the show, but at crazy prices .

It was indeed difficult to get a ticket. I tried to order the instant the presale became available, and within a minute it already told me that there were no tickets. Got the same message 3 times in a row and it told me to try again later, in case someone elses time expired or they switched their order.
5 minutes later, I was miraculously able to get 2 of them. It was a very anxious, depressing and ultimately happy several minutes.

You're lucky that you managed to get 2! I kept reloading the page continuously and only got that one hit (and no hits on the presale).

There are gold circle tickets in stubhub for $150 right now. That's a relative steal when balcony ticks are going for $220 plus.

I ended up just paying $150 for mine on stubhub. I have 2 extra tickets in the orchestra section, that I'd sell if anyone needs them. I was just going to put them back on stubhub, but would love to help out a fan if someone wants them. My brother and his girlfriend were going to go with us, but they can't now, so I have extras.

I'm so sorry, but I had just put the tickets up on stubhub right before I saw your messages. I just went to take them down and they had already sold. I'm really sorry about that. I did notice prices are going down on stubhub, if that helps at all.

Were you guys able to get tickets? They are down to $110 on stubhub. I think there were some orchestra tickets for like $135.

Does anybody know the area well? Wondering where to get a quick bite to eat before the show.
