I almost always use picks (Dunlop .60). But that kind of stumming that Damo does with his thum gives a great sound. I've heard the finger strumming technique in a lot of Beatles songs also- and it is amazing. My thum doesn't wanna behave though, and gets sore even though I've been playing for 10 years. I will have to toughen it up.

I use Fender Medium - quite stong ones and give a nice controlled powerful sound. I know Damien doesn't use them much 0actually not using them gives a very nice sound as long as you have got the right guitar.

i started using the thinnest plectrum i could find (practicall/litterally paper at one time)

strangly i have moved to playing with harder plectrums, or none at all.

usually using a plectrum usually used for bass. it gived the sound some body (i think)
