Terraplane blues by the man MR. Eric Clapton!!!
Its accoustic!! And it is a must for any blues musician for accoustic!!

I was just working on an old irish rock sounding tune. I think I finally have the whole thing. Lyrics will hopefully come soon.

I've recently been learning some Elliot Smith songs - they are excellent if you like finger picking (which I do!). The two main ones I have been learning of late are:
Angeles
and
Memory Lane

Ok, today I've learned:

Ac/Dc - Back In Black
Coldplay - Shiver
Jeff Buckley - Grace

and I tabbed Damo's Closer (wasn't actually listening to the song while I tabbed it so I wouldn't trust it very far...... )

On my "to-do list" I have to tab Call of Ktulu (sp?) by Metallica and I'm gonna try some Rodrigo y Gabriela.

Start off with an artist whose songs you're quite familiar with....you'll have an idea of their style. First song I ever tabbed was In Bloom by Nirvana (I had been playing for 6 months - a year) which consisted almost entirely of power chords!

There's no real trick to it...the more you do it the better you'll get. As a rule I try to tab at least a song on day (keeps me on my toes ) I also regularly tab things without knowing what they are Earlier today I tabbed what I think was originally a Bryan Adams song...Heaven? I just started playing it and went.....what the hell is that!?

Don't give up!

Hurricane by bob dylan
Shimmer, by fuel (has anyone got any tips for playing this because the timing is a killer)

Not neccessarily....I'm assuming eims plays another instrument?

Never heard it, I don't think. What type of song is it?

Yeah great solo....actually played that song at my graduation - went down a storm

Ok, in the last hour or so I've tabbed (now don't get overexcited Killian ) :

Bell X1 - Pinball Machine
Bell X1 - For The Money
Bell X1 - Godsong
Bell X1 - Little Sister
Bell X1 - Deep

....and tommorow I'll do Music in Mouth
Hehe only joking!!

I'm guessing Killian, that you already know these ones?
Just in case:

Deep - 3 main chords...A, E, F#m
For The Money - Capo 3rd fret... chords are E flat minor, G#, Cm, B flat
Little sister/Pinball Machine/Godsong - simliar chords for each...your usual Em, D, C, G etc.

"Not neccessarily....I'm assuming eims plays another instrument?" - i meant that it would be a drawback to tabbing lol.

"Never heard it, I don't think. What type of song is it?" - it's kind of accusticcy electric, none of the chords are that hard they just change really fast, i think it's just cause i'm used to playing finger-picky stuff. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/...r_ver4_crd.htm
it's a cool song to download. i think its from 97.

I also just learnt, First day of my life, by Bright eyes, which is a beautiful song. It'd be lovely to sing to someone.

*whispers* Unplayed Piano

Not in a position to post up tabs at the moment...it's in the key of D and fairly predictable for those who want to try it out!
