Lisa Hannigan is a delightful young woman, and you should be very very proud Ms. Hannigan! Thanks for sharing her with the world!

I like your longest-post-ever Spamlet, you're really quite the lil' writer. Or maybe big, I'm not sure what height you are. I'm pretty sure I'm also partly to blame for the jokes about stoning and whatnot, which I currently feel unbelieveably bad about. As I recall, it originated from a hilarious expression in a poorly taken photograph from about four in the morning after three days of living in a field. I guess it's not so funny when the irony isn't so evident.

Spamlet i think you would make a great reviewer.

and i think the reason they reacted "He's Spamlet?!!" is because you go into unique details over the lyrics and whatnot but thats a quality not a flaw.
to be honest i reckon they think you're posts are hilarious.
which they are. in a good way.

More likely than Reading, anyway, which actually doesn't sound anything like the word "read"...

Just a thought, did it ever occur to you that they could have been pulling your leg over "Mamma Hannigan" (or whatever they said), reading this forum. See, that's the kind of thing that'd amuse me to say if I were in that position

Lisa's mam?
Is Damo as funny as this - "I didn't see that film." all the time.
P.S My friend met your daughter at EP, and gave her a tattoo, she confided in us that she hadn't washed for a week. Please chide her Ma' Hannigan, for being grubby

wow !
nice story, its cool to hear that some are clever enought not to just say "hey damien I love what u do, I'm a big fan, can I take a pic with you" like I did when I met him last summer in electric picnic;

God I must have looked so silly : the proper silly groopie ! to much emotions for me...
But still he was so warm and nice.

I deeply regret I didn't have that kind a conversation with him...

Yeah, joking.

A lot of Irish people say "th"s that are in the middle or at the end of words as if they were "d"s.

So Meath would sound like Mead.

Thank God she didn't say "Dunshaughlin"!

Well just so long as she's not back on the heroin then it's ok.

Or maybe I'm thinking of Steven Drozd from the Flaming Lips, I always get those 2 mixed up.

I had no idea I was ever in them to begin with. I always assumed the entire Hannigan clan found me utterly charming.

Wow, how lucky! Glad to hear you had a good time too!

I hope the ladies in the band'll make their own albums someday too; of course, I still want them to sing with Damien!

"Try is a fail word"...man, that's going to stick with me all night...

Thanks for the report too!!

Well Vyvienne has recently released an EP... check back in the news archive a few weeks for details and how to order from outside of Ireland.

And Lisa sings 3 (I think) songs on a new album called 'The Cake Sale'. Again the news page had info, go to the archives.

I love that... I stuck around for a little bit and wanted to stay at the bar and meet them but I was tired, I didn't make it. Had I not been alone, I totally would have! Boo!
