Mario & Cille,

I'll tackle both issues in this post.

Mario, I do realize that changing something in one of the files with a flac or shn file is an issue. Sector boundary issues etc.... That is why, I will just use my cue sheet from CDWAVE to recut the entire wave file of the show. Pull out the 2 - 3 files, and make sure they pass through a sector boundary issue.

Cille,
It is 5:22 EST time in Boston. No problem with hosting tonight. I'll send you and the other pre-downloaders instructions on the new file (s) and you can host tomorrow morning if you would like. Any help throughout the week is going to be appreciated by people here.

Okay, you've got it under control, like I said, wasn't sure how much you used BT, so wanted to check. I used to run a tracker off my site... which actually I could probably get started back up again if you wanted.

I actually may do that tomorrow, let me know if you want me to. I should have three tapes in May to distribute, so it would be a worthwhile adventure to get that going again (I moved and never made the necessary changes to it).

Hey, great idea Mario. If you can get it ready for tomorrow, all the better. Down the line, I know there will be more.

OK, I didn't change any of those files. I'm sticking with the original files. The md5 checksum and the text info file are available for download for those who have been downloading in preparation for hosting.

The last thing I need to do is create the torrent file and attach it at bt.etree.org

I'll post again once it is up.

For those who have already downloaded and are set to host. You will need to place the 27 shn files, the text file, and the md5 checksum into a folder with the following name:

damo2006-12-11.shnf

FOR ALL OTHERS - here is the link:

http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=504972

For all those having trouble with the torrent getting started; I had to re-create the torrent file and create another instance of it on the bt.etree site.

You should:
a.) Delete your old .torrent file
b.) Link to here - http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=504978
c.) Download the new torrent file
d.) Start the new torrent file download in your favorite bit torrent client.

any potential seeders out there should re-download the .md5, .txt and .torrent files and reload them into your bit torrent client.

I should be seeding now, thanks again dave. Just checking: The torrent file you called 'old-replace-tues-morning' is the one I shouldn't use, right?

That is correct.

Create a folder named:

damo2006-12-11.shnf

then put the 27 files in it. No need to replace any of those.
then download the new .md5 file, and the new text file, also place them in the folder
download the .torrent file from bt.etree.org
Load the .torrent file. It should run through and you should be to 100% and hosting in no time.

Listened to it and there are a few spots I noticed, but nothing at all that detracts from the spectacular quality of the recording. Spot on, man. Mine's seeding as we speak (already at over 700mb uploaded) and I have no plan to stop seeding, either. Awesome awesome stuff, Dave :]

Thank you dave. It means a lot to be able to relive a night that you feel a part of. I love The Professor, the whole Amie part, and the end of Volcano the most.

Now I'm even more anxious for the show in May.

uh oh smmoreo - yeah, there are a few spots. i wish i could have gotten to those. Mainly the area around the encore clapping is a bit messy, some of the Coldwater and a couple of small glitches here or there caused by mic rubbing, recorder drop out, or mics getting bumped. I'll take care of all of these when I remaster the show. I didn't think they were worth holding back things for now.

borneoman - thank you! I hope it plays as well in your car stereo without the need to fool with the volume too much. Damien is easy to tape, but tough to master. Getting the volume to sound like it's playing between 8 - 10 on your headphones or in your car is tough, when the dynamic range of the show goes from 1 (being low) to 10 (being rock loud.)

martmcb - thanks, and it's great to hear that you are one of the many people seeding like crazy. Damien fans are amongst the best and the seeding support just proves how cool you all are!

tylerm - That's what it's all about. It seems like this has been a good year for Damien fans. We get him twice in less than 6 months - Fantastic! Hey, and the Frames and Martin Sexton are coming too!

More later, thanks for seeding everyone!

Default daveydave = the man!

Seriously, thank you so much for such a great sounding show! I'm listening now and reliving that night at the Orpheum. I wasn't very familiar with Damien Rice's music back then but knew I was watching/hearing something very special by the end of Accidental Babies. Listening now, that song has brought me to tears, again. Just amazing.

This may be the best live recording I've ever heard! Thanks again, Dave, for sharing the music with all of us! Can't wait for May, now.

For some reason, it's been very slow. It took me nearly 2 days to d/l ( and that's with a FIOS connection!) So be patient. It's well worth the wait.
I'm still seeding and will do so indefinitely. Cheers!

Can we clarify the title to the Lisa song from this show?

Is it "Northern Wind" or "Blow the Wind Southerly" ?? I've now heard it called both.

Overall I thought the gig was great. Audience was pretty good, appreciative. You could tell there were some hardcore fans. Damo in a great mood, everyone played great, I had a blast.

Lisa sang this solo for someone Brown... who passed it away. It seemed like her heart was breaking as she sang, I think she was crying.
I was crying. It was beautiful.

Swell Season opened real nicely too, except people talked thru their entire set and I swear only five people were listening. Glen's last number Star, Star was lovely, and he made us giggle with his whistling and Willy Wonka impression. Totally charming.

Looking back Damo played a FANTASTIC selection of songs old, new, unreleased. I loved it!

Damo Set list as follows:
-Sand
-The Proffesor
-Face
-Grey Room
-Volcano + 20 minute like...jam session.
-Piano Intro + Accidental Babies (gorgeeeeousss!)
-And then Damien joked about Vyv playing a "song that gets him everytime" or something and she played an amazing cover of..
"Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt. 1" by the Flaming Lips.
-Very much funnny, but classic Amie story.
-Amie, ending with.. "brings peace for you and me."
-Another kind of improv tangent...He played with a bunch of effects, it was loud and basically rocked the house.
-Eskimo
-Coconut Skins. (This was one of the best versions I've heard. Tons of energy!)
-Death Metal Version of Blower's Daughter (<3<3<3)
-Me, My Yoke and I.
-The Animals Were Gone
-"Ended" w/ Cold Water. (people cheered soooo loudly for Lisa!)

Encore:
-Lisa's previously described gorgeous solo song.
-Cannonball
-9 Crimes...which led into
-Rootless Tree.

I probably missed some, but...I was kind of absorbed in the music.
=D
a lot of you dont remeber,. but in the middle of like the crazyness of the end of amie and before eskimo he played part of david gray's " say hello and wave goodbye" where he kept screaming take your hands of me? i thought that was wild.

I haven't heard this in the recording... but Say Hello, Wave Goodbye is not a David Gray song. It's a song by Soft Cell that David covered.
