I saw it, I had trouble the first time but it later worked. I don't think it is a very positive view of Damien.. It was sort of hard to follow,it seemed like they were giving him some sh*te about being in the states touring.. I would be interested in another opinion..

Bizarre flash video, they kinda do rip the piss out of Damien yeah (though it looks nothing like him). The tickets to see him in Whelan's were €60, they had him say he wouldn't be able to sing Blower's Daughter better than Gary Lightbody does and then get him to say he's breaking the States so that doesn't bother him!

Thought it was funny the way Aslan were at the bottom of the Clapometer and the bit where they all went into the George...

Yep. Not that there was another one of these snowpatrol animations, but I mean in general amongst Dubliners.

Well it is the most famous gay bar in the land so it's bound to get the odd slag here or there. 'Though a friend of mine said he was in there a few weeks ago and scored a girl... he was drunk though so for all he knew it could have been Shirley Templebar!

I know... I suppose I'm just letting my personal gripes escape my head and get out in the public. There's a reason I usually keep quiet in discussions
I've been in there a few times (am straight) and it can be a great laugh. There's still a fair proportion of straight m&f in there at any time.

It just all reminds me of back in the days of school, passing by the place with some friends and waiting for the titters to start. Anyway, this side-topic could go on forever, so back to the proper topic I think.

I know what you mean Scon, was the very same back when I was in school. Have heard it's a great place to go out whether you're straight/gay too, in fact most of the pubs on George's street are class, but as you said, back to the proper topic!

I wonder what Damo would make of the animation, he probably wouldn't be too impressed.

Yeah, I've always wondered how all the grannies/granddads/whoever else watches telly bingo (bored students who should be in class maybe) react when they see she/he/it saying 'unlucky for some, 13' etc. For a conservative country like Ireland, it's amazing how RTE have him presenting it. Must be due to the fact that it probably only gets ten viewers a day

He's pretty bad on RTE yeh, but actually works quite well in his original place of The George on Sunday nights, doing Bingo.
He once picked on 2 friends of mine in front of everyone and it was pretty hilarious.
