Well, the US papers are reporting that Jack White rushed to her side, so I would perhaps chalk this one off as "we have gossip pages to fill so we can sell our paper and it's a slow week because there are no new pictures of Brad and Angelina".

you got it all wrong

once a story is in the press its your privacy invaded... its tabloid propaganda that is ugly and demeaning to the people in it... Im sure alot of hollywood press whores would love to have their picture plastered all over the papers but im pretty sure damien doesnt and we respect that decision...

Notwithstanding the fact that it's idle speculation that's being reported as fact.

We had "proof" that they were having a relationship (and that he was her Oscar date) earlier in the year when the gossip columnists in the red tops started reporting it, and then she went off and married a country singer and it turned out that all those stories were bull****.

But you can't blame Dean C for asking about it. He was just interested. I don't think its fair for Damiens privacy to be invaded but this was printed in the press and so we cannot just ignore it. It's interesting. I know its none of our business whatsoever. But people like hearing a good old love story. Its not a crime to be interested but the problem is people hide behind the rules. Oh but we cannot discuss Damiens private life, heaven forbid! It's Renee Zellwegger for Gods sake! People ARE interested. If Damien was married and had kids, then it's not right to butt in and ask questions. BUT its not, its a very famous Hollywood actress and Damien Rice. People ARE interested believe it or not. I know, blah blah blah its all about the music. Damiens privacy should be respected, blah blah. Everyone loves a bit of gossip.

You've got me wrong too. This information is in the press, everyone knows it. Whether it's true or not

I'm not interested in it particularly, Damien does what he wants. I'm a big fan, I guess it's nice to know if he has a lady friend or whatnot. I thought maybe you'd all like to discuss it too. I guess not.

oh no! yesterday i wrote a big reply and for got to click "post quick reply"!

to be honest, it is indeed about the music. but also about the lyrics. which infact are in the majority about his love and his relationships. I already feel as if damo has let me into his little world. and i can't help but hope that he finds someone lovely and if it can be dear ol' renee then lucky her. I suppose at the end of the day i don't know him at all. maybe i am nothing more than an over intrusive fan. It is difficult to sepperate the man from the music. it is about the music, but the two are intricately intwined.

I've got no idea what the story is you've all been twittering about. To be honest i'd quite like to know, but due to the current rules i doubt i'll be finding out. i hope he finds a big pillowy comfy heart to swallow him up. wish him all the best.
