The anthesis to Marina's favourite places.

Where do you hate?

I'll get the ball rolling. 4 Dame Lane, went there last night, never again. I hated the place.

Took me some thinking, but then I had a flash!

PE class; god I hated going there. I could have cried just thinking of the place.

Renards, only been there once about 3 years ago. I don't like bars, I like pubs.

WITH NO MUSIC

damn those are strong words.

I like music. I like music in my bars or pubs or whatever - I don't know what the difference between the two is.

I hate:630 Stewart Avenue, Ithaca, NY; Heathrow and Houston, TX airports; the mall where my evil ex worked (why I dated a guy who worked in a mall, I will never be able to explain)

The difference would be that a bar is trendy and people dress up to go there whereas a pub has old men in it drinking pints and looking dissaprovingly at anyone under 30.

I hate music in pubs/bars because its impossible to have a conversation over it.

Okay, so you like being in places where people look disapprovingly at you? What if it's live music?

I stand by myposition that I like music in my bars - in fact, I probably like some bars better because they have better music than others. I dislike uber trendy places, but I like to look half-way decent when I go out. You can have good coversation in a pub that has music. You can dress up and go to a "pub" instead of a "bar." Although it's probably impossible under your definition to be trendy and go to a pub.

Another place I hate right now: my inbox - I accidentally deleted my messages and now I have none.

it's the most perfect pub in the world. next time you're in galway go there. it's on quay street. you go in. there is music playing but it's quiet enough so that if you're on you own you can hear it but if you're with people you wont even notice. plus it's the kinda place you cango on your own and sit down and have a pint and have a think. i love it. and they've the best guinness in galway city.

Live music is fine because if you go into a bar and there is a stage you can expect that.

Maybe its just teh music that gets played that I hate.

Did you go to Jazzfest yet? How was it?

Ah, but you obviously like it when people look at you disapprovingly. I understand not liking certain types of music in bars. For instance, I would never go into a bar that had country line dancing, or country music at all for that matter.

I leave for JazzFest in a little over a month. It's even after my roadtrip to go to a few Damien shows in Philly, NYC and Boston. I will tell you all about it when I have something to tell.

I'm taking my inbox off of the list of my least favorite places - Ais has helped me fill my self-created void.

Perhaps I was being a bit facetious, I was mainly saying that I prefer a more traditional type of drinking emporium to the modern ones.

I understand. I tend to use hyperbole so often that it loses any significance and people just think I exaggerate everything. I just like picking on you

Ais - drink at least one pint for me!

Oh God yeah - gotta agree over the waiting rooms thing. I will do anything to avoid having to make an appointment just so i dont have to experience that dead time. Its like being in limbo!.......and you just never know how long they're gonna keep you waiting! Aaggghhhhhhhh!!!!

Don't give it a second thought, pick away. Actually I'm world famous for my use of hyperbole myself.
