so is the presale just a presale or is there some sort of code or something you're supposed to use? it's the day after tomorrow already.. i'm signed up for both ticketmaster and live nation updates and alerts from the last time i saw damien and got nothing from either of them on this

anyone know what the difference is between the two presales?

Usually one can guess what the password is. Nine, crimes, 9, I'll be trying anything I can think of that has something to do with the album. If you find something out, will you please post?

Also, a local radio station, Cities 97, now has this on their website:
"Damien Rice with Swell Season Orpheum Theatre 8pm"

Who is swell season? Any info would be appreciated. I could only find something on their myspace page, where it says they will be touring with Damien thru December in the US.

minneapolis is a pretty easy town to get around in as far as big cities go, especially compared to say chicago or something. there are hotels right downtown near the theater district and a lot of them have shuttle service so i wouldn't worry about getting lost..

do worry about blizzards and frigid temperatures though, winter in minnesota is no picnic.. it was almost 100 degrees the last time damien was there this summer, i doubt he'll recognize the place..

bring a parka damien!

3rd row. I went back 5 minutes later just to see what else it would give you and 2nd row pit came up. Oh well, I'm still happy with the seats

who knows? TM is such a rip off. Grand total comes to $45/ticket (which I'm more than happy to pay for, but when the gig is listed at $30, it's such a joke for their add ons)

it's really quite simple. someone else had the seats in their possession at the time you checked, but released them for whatever reason...(trying for something better, credit card denial etc.)

i very often throw back seats i pull on first attempt in order to try for better

so is yours MF1 or MF2 and Row A or Orch Row 3? i forget if there's 3 or 2 rows of orch at the Orpheum.

i'm in MF2 Row A

i'll try again during the regular onsale, but i'm more than ecstatic about these. i'd only upgrade to orch if they were very centered (as these ones are)

if i had to guess, based on previous headlining gigs i've seen i'd say between 2-2.5 hours (hopefully)

I concur... though at the first Beacon gig on 16 Apr. 2004, he had to end abruptly as 11:00 p.m. was curfew... when he returned to the Beacon on May 3, he played until at least 11:30.... it was the last night of the tour and I guess he basically decided screw curfew...

Sorry, MF 2 Row C, so technicaly the 6th row. I've sat in the pit for other shows and it can be difficult to see if there is a speaker set right on the edge of the stage. But you are good and close to the performance. Looks like you have great seats.

I've purchased tickets, and I'm in row F seat 13. I'm not sure if these are good seats. Well, I mean they are, but since this will be my first concert of his (I went to his Central Park one but it was shared with Fiona Apple) I want extraordinary seats.
I've found someone selling pit tickets, and I'm kind of tempted to get them, but how good is the pit? With the tickets I've got, I thought I'd be in the 6th row from the stage, but including the pit that puts me in 8th. And I'm not sure if seat 13 is that close to the center.

Are there really only two rows in the pit? That seems quite odd to me, as I've never seen one with less than 5 (maybe 4 at Radio City - I can't recall off hand)

I had 5th row pit seats for Damo's Camden show - they were fabulous, I had my kids in tow and they could see everything just fine. When I had front row at the Beacon, we were unable to see their feet as it was per usual, a sit down event (which I found highly amusing, but certainly did not take away from the show in the slightest)

The seating chart for the Orpheum shows that the seat numbers begin along the center aisle for both main floor sections 1 & 2. I'm unable to tell how many seats are in each row, I'd imagine there are approximately 25 or more, thus 13 should put you roughly in the center of the row.

there's 3, confirmed w/ my friend who works for the Hennepin Theater Trust

i've been in the pit before (was front row for Beck/Lips & Ryan Adams in '02), but couldn't remember if it was 2 or 3 rows.
