What kind of details would you like?
- He started off playing the (newer) smaller guitar, and then switched to his larger one with the holes. - 9 Crimes was really good; got nice and dark, of course, with the looping. - He knocked his wine off the harmonium stand during Trusty and True; it looked like a piece of glass almost hit a guy a few people in front of me. - The Professor seemed to have some extra oomph or energy (as did just about every song, now that I think about it). - Josh Ritter said he met Damien on his first trip to Ireland. "He is a sweet sweet man. And a monster on stage." My images (Instagram: @jwelsh8) One from my sister (Instagram: @edub526) |

thanks for the pics! Josh was amazing also. A few months ago he posted this picture
https://instagram.com/p/01YXPeI6ML/ "Trove of travel journals from 1999-2003 discovered in Idaho. I did this on my 2002 Europe tour with @DamienRice" I recorded the webstream, but it was sooo badly censored. Random songs in place of Woman Like a Man and The Professor without no mention of nothing at all! "technical difficulties" according to their twitter feed The radio host mentioned this would be available to listen on their site, so if they don't post it in the next few days I'll upload my capture anyway. I have Josh's set also, if anyone is interested

Great energy at the show. Seemed like he was in a great mood.
Ran into him before the show on the street. Said he remembered me from Iceland! Asked him about living in Iceland, said he loves being in the city. I don't really remember what else was said except that he was heading to sound check. (Started fogging over in awe) Love all the Eskimos that came out. Such an awesome group of people. Amazing version of I remember. Said he had to play the shortened version of ITALTKAM. Damn curfews! Was still amazing. Love the reinvented guitar 9crimes. -Mike |

It seems like the only songs that were cut out or choppy were the ones with swearing. It's 2015! Who gives a f***!

I don't have much more to add, except for my gratitude once again for the New York crew. It was great to see everyone again and meet more of you; you all made waiting in a line for 2+ hours part of the joy of the evening. Damien was great, the audience was great, so fun!!
I uploaded my best photos onto my Flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/669934...57654335445509 But here's a few: |

It was truly great to see all of my Eskimo Friends. It's hard to add anymore since most things have been covered. I think this would have been a great concert to bring a non-Damo fan to, becuase he did good mix of slower emotional songs and up tempo ones. I had a friend bring her husband there and now he is hooked.
I wish we all could have hung out more, but it was a weekday. Hopefully a fall/winter tour will happen. He has to make up for lost time and it will be great to see him any everyone again. |

Great pics, Desole!! Thanks for posting them
Here's my capture of wfuv broadcast (from webstream) Damien (there's a skip near the end of Trusty and True, no Woman like a Man and The Professor). Keep an eye on wfuv.org for the archived audio Josh Ritter

Just throwing my 2 cents in. First it was great to see some of you again (I didn't get to see everybody because I got there late). It's a great group of people that couldn't be nicer. Thanks to Scott for saving me a spot! You are the best. I hope to see all of you again soon.
As for the show, it's the 9th time I've seen him and I would put it in the top 3 shows I've seen. If you looked at the setlist on paper, you would think it was kind of a generic show but there was something about his energy and as someone mentioned, the flow of the setlist really helped. I'm not a huge fan of Woman Like A Man but it was incredible, as was 9 Crimes and Long Long Way. I love how Damien loops his voice and uses it almost as another instrument. It seems to me that he is taking his shows to another level right now! Finally, I also think the crowd was a big reason the show was so good. I was worried about an outdoor show and when he first started there were a few yells and call outs but after that, very little, if any noise. The crowd was quite respectable and most of the time you could hear a pin drop. Which is amazing to me at an outdoor show. I think the fact that he didn't ask if anybody wanted to hear anything helped. Have fun in Chicago to those going Sunday night. Can't wait to hear about it. |

Ordinary setlist, at first I was just gonna check out some songs but man, after listening to It takes a lot, I found myself playing the whole damn thing from beginning to end, not a minute skipped . One of Damien's best performances I was yet to hear. His voice seemed to have some kind doping during this concert, much more powerful and stronger than normal. 9 Crimes, Elephant, Colour me in, Volcano are brilliant. Trusty and True with harmonium is so moving. I Remember, Long long way, It takes a lot to know a man, and especially The Box are f***ing glorious, all seem to be the most intense versions of them yet. My god his voice in The Box is really sick, believe me you guys must check it out The only downside I can find is the shortening of It takes a lot to know man due to lacking of time, and some randomly cutting. Can't wait to hear the full version with The Professor and Woman Like A Man. Last edited by acquadigio; 06-19-2015 at 09:11 PM. |

Do it! You too, Scott! Lisa seems sooooo lovely! I saw her at Joe's Pub a long time ago. She was shy but very fun. I would love to see how she has evolved and I love the Passenger songs!
