Last nite was one of the most amazing nights ever!!!It was my third time and I can tell you it was the best one yet! The whole gig was absolutely perfect! I could NOT have been better!!! To name a few highlights (there were nothing but highlights): the Bell X1 "Eve, The Apple Of My Eye" intro to Cold Water, Vyvienne doing Seven Nation Army with Lisa on drums, a HAUNTING version of eskimo with Lisa doing the Finnish bit, Damo and Lisa doing a drunk version of Cheers Darlin' as a 2nd encore, the hilarious Older Chests f**k up... I could go on and on!!! They were all in a great mood.. the ambiance was amazing.. during the songs you could hear a pin drop.. the audience was quiet as a mouse! Truly amazing!!! Oh and I was standing first row right in front of Lisa! What an amazing woman she is! I'm sooooo in love with her!!! Best. Gig. Ever! Well, it's definitely in my top 3 of best gigs ever!

Completely agree! It rocked big time. Did you notice that Damo only started to chat to the audience and what not after that bloke in the crowd told him to relax. I think that saved us from another "i'm so dead serious-gig" as we had in Utrecht earlier. Was a great gig, but too much O for me, i wanted to hear more "new" material. Did you notice Lisa was so lively this evening, piano, guitar, drums, she sang on almost every song, never saw here like that before. good and solid gig, maybe not top 3, but still pretty good. PS there were signs everywhere saying that the gig was going to be recorded, signed by DRM. Does anybody have any clue if that was for Fabchannel, or something else maybe (since it's not mentioned on fabchannel) like an official live CD?...Edited by: Cornfleek |

Yep, gig was amazing!! Atmosphere was fantastic - miles better than in Utrecht last year. Definitely in my top 3 gigs too. Loved the drunken Cheers Darlin' at the end! So nice to see the whole band really enjoying themselves too. |

o my god did i enjoy it did i enjoy it did i enjoy it!!! it was indeed the best out of 3 i've seen (first paradiso-gig was amazing as well)! did anybody notice the calling-taxi-joke he made??? hehe i know what he was talking about. i had a friend with me who is completely into techno but he was very very very impressed as well and happy he came! at the end damo did cheers darlin with a can of beer and a cigarette, got "drunk", lisa gave him wine in a glass after the beer all the time, it was soooooo funny! and the utter part: when we came out of paradiso it snowed!!!!! i couldn't leave amsterdam so had to stay there. i just came back half an hour ago, after a 2 hour drive (because of all the snow...). my god what a night, what a man what an adventure... Yeah the calling a taxi thing to end the gig was so funny. "Come and pick me up at Paradiso..." And what was that kumbaya-type song they started playing as a joke and then got such cheers from the crowd they played the whole thing with everyone clapping along? I guess we just left Amsterdam in time. There was a lot of snow on the ground when we got to Utrecht. Did you get to meet him again? |

haha the kumbaya-type song was a good joke wasn't it. the crowd was amazing coöperating. where they had to be quiet they where quiet and where there was this kinda 'stupid" song everybody was clapping along. it was a great night! for the rest of the detales, read your pm

Last time in Utrecht they just arrived from Paris after a long night of partying, hence the tame and uninspired gig. This time they hadn't performed for days so they were full of energy!I don't think the gig was recorded for Fabchannel but I wouldn't mind if they released a DVD with this gig!I didn't see any cameras though..

Yeah, it surprised me as well! Maybe that's why Damien was in such a great mood!

We are indeed. You could tell he was so happy at the end. Couldn't hear exactly what he was saying when he was thanking the crowd cos everyone was cheering so loudly. But it was obvious he really appreciated us. |

Yep, he was great, although there were a lot of people talking throughout. He's coming back to Paradiso with his band in May though!

It was fun to catch up with a few fans that Ive met before. They can always tell u the latest music sh*te that comes out. The concert was pretty good like you all read before. However, in Tivoli he was able to play many more songs cos he wasnt talkin that much. But I guess its worth something for having some more interaction with the crowd... The audience was allright...but Tivoli was more quiet. And then there are those groupies...aaah! |
