www.sharingthegroove.com is a place to download live concerts. You need to understand how to use bit torrent first, and how to convert the shn or flac format of the show into wave (which allows you to put it on a CD). B&P's are for people who have a slow connection at home, dont want to learn how to use bit torrent, or want a perticular show that someone else has. You pay for postage and the blank cd's and they send you the show.

Blacks 6th editiondictionary says "Bootlegging" includes the "illegal manufacture" of an item

if you dont care for blacks 6th edition, webster will tell you " to produce, reproduce, or distribute illicitly or without authorization"

from a personal stand point the word "bootlegging" implies pirating and stealing, especially when considered in light of music.

this is from a friend , " as was mentioned earlier ina thread, bootlegging has a negative connotation. with all the sh*t that's going on with the riaa and the feds, our taped shows being sold on ebay, etc., i think it would behoove us all to not use the term, and try to educate the misinformed.

to me, a 'bootleg' show, brings up images of kill bill 2 on supernova. which, to me, amounts to stealing.

taper or archivist am i, amd my shows are a historical record of the event for my and my friends' personal enjoyment. takes longer to say and explain, but that's ok, if i've educated someone who looks upon us with a negative image."

i hope this helps and answers questions about the terms. It is a loose term, people use it all the time, but it isn't correct. If damien allows us to bring in out little recorders and archive a part of history that we took part in, i wouldn't call it "bootleging".

I mean honestly we have done the common courtesy of waiting 2-3 weeks before requesting the show. I understand if spamlet is busy, but can we at least get an update.Edited by: absltcit33

Yes, an update is an expected, but it has been almost a month to a month and a half, Spamlet doesn't need that much more time to "adjust the volume," of the recording, it needs to come ou.t
