the only ones that are available on www.damienrice.com
are "Seated (unreserved)" ... was there standing ones that are now gone ?? or should I just get these before all the tickets are gone....?? |

They usually only have the upstairs part seated, downstairs is normally standing (even if the tickets say seating unreserved). Last few gigs I was at there, the ticket said unreserved seating yet when I got thereit was standing downstairs. Hope it's not seating, I prefer to stand. At the Oxfam charity gig there was seating downstairs, though not enough for everyone.

Marina, of course not, another small gig tonight, a friend of mine is playing in a bar in town......I've got my tickets for Vicar Street, looking forward to it, ah what would this student do without his credit card?? I'd just like to thank all those who pay taxes for allowing me to live this extravagant lifestyle.......cheers
Enjoy the weekend and your last couple of minutes of work Edit: And as if ye Limerick girls wouldn't be bringing ye're own knives to Simon's place !!!!Edited by: DaveG |

haven't seen damien play since sept 2002 (after the year of 19 d-r gigs and him thinking i was stalking him HAH!) so bought my ticket for vicar street. just hoping it's not like that one BAD occasion back in ye olde days where all tickets booked from the site got stuck upstairs and ticketmaster got the ground floor and the little tables. not saying that there's anything wrong with being stuck upstairs, i mean if you're on the guestlist thats where you're always put, and it IS vicar street so every corner of the place has pretty decent acoustics/sight of the stage...but... i'd quite like a little candle-lit table :P
i'll stop moaning now 'cause i'm not actually that bothered and this afternoon frank black signed my pixies cds *die* |

I nearly had a heart attack after just noticing the announcement at 10pm tonight. Thankfully they're still available and I just nabbed 4 of them, me happy
I too, also got Mr. Blacks autography Aisling and am doing cartwheels. Got on an ok recording of the set too which is fantastic since he played Caribou, Nadine and WIMM. |

wahay! i arrived too late (what a suprise) to get inside, but could hear fairly well from the pavement. any chance of getting a copy of the gig sometime conor?
(completely unrelated, but does anyone have a clue how much a new minidisc charger would cost, or where you might get one in dublin? i lost mine months ago so can't mp3 anything i've recorded. i've a sony MD but i'm not sure the brand actually matters...(?)) |

I couldn't tell if there was a big crowd outside, but could just see those few who climbed the phone-boxes. I didn't think they were letting people from outside in for the signing?
Peats will sell you one for 35. I suppose they'll know what type you need. And I'll definitely let you know when the show's ready. |

Marina,
Well to be honest, I'm not really tax dodging yet, cos I still have to fill out the form, so maybe next week......I'm concerned now about the whole stanley knife comment, of course you wouldn't use it on a tax evading, spending your hard earnt tax money student from Cork now would you??? Looking forward to Vicar street, but still another two months..........how are preparations for the 21st going?? The time draws nearer, I hope that the golden invitations are on their way round Gotta head to a seminar, so talk to you soon Dave |
