Dammit. I wasn't going to let myself get sucked into another
site, but since I seem to be spending huge portions of my workday lurking over here anyway, I might as well join the fray in earnest. I became a fan in Dec. when my husband and I got free tix from a friend who'd won them off a radio station and couldn't use them. We didn't know Damien's stuff and the people here described him as "folk," which did not exactly imbue us with confidence. But we figured, ah, well, we might as well go, it'll probably be boring but it's free; we'll leave at 9:30. You know what happens next, right? 10:30 rolls around, they're in the encores, and I'm contemplating if it would be unseemly to climb onstage and grab hold of his ankles so he can't leave the venue.......... |
