LOL..I have a smattering of family in New York but most all live in Long Island. Especially Hicksville, NY. I love New York. Very nice in the winter and I feel at home because there a lot of jewish people. California does not have a lot of jews. Too hot right now. Both sides of my family came through Ellis Island so NY is pretty much a second home in the heart.

Hicksville i never thought I'd hear of that place again got stuck their one night after a night on the beer. Was drinking in the city and got the Long island railroad home unfortunately we all passed out on the train and missed our stop and woke up in Hicksville, had to hitch then back to New Hyde Park.....ah memories!

LOL...you could have stayed at my aunt's. She takes in anyone, but she is jewish so there would be weird food you may not like. Hicksville...just the name of it. Lots of weird Chinese food restaurants. Do a lot of the Irish come to the States to visit because it seems like you make lots of visits here. And why do you visit if you do not mind my asking.

yea, but who the hell would want to go through the airports system!!! Just going interstate is hell, but out of country! We waited in a 2 3/4 hour line (we were told to get the 1 1/2 early and we did get there) only to miss our flight and we were charged and extra $500 or something more like that to switch our ticket to a later flight that same day and it was not our fault. We were on time. I hate the airport and advoid it at all cost. Why do people move from Ireland to the U.S.? If I lived in Ireland, I would stay there. It is so beautiful..
