Since I am not from Austria I was desperate when I found out Vienna gig tickets are sold out - they wrote on one site sale starts at 9am and when I logged in at 8am they were already sold out. When I called, the lady said they sold them all at midnight, for 5 minutes.
Thank God for this Prague show, as I was ready to pay three times more to get tickets for Vienna. Now I'm gonna see him in Prague.

Awww, that's really bad One person from Austria my friend talked online said that there are chances tickets will be sold for some bigger price in front of the venue in Vienna. I don't know how it goes in Vienna, in my city it is usually like that, so maybe you could try like that?

This might be obvious but anyway: If you're not a member of last.fm I suggest you could chceck the shoutbox of the event from time to time as there are always people who offer their 'last minute' spare tickets for sale.

Prague's sold out too.

I hope you'll be lucky.

ishoutedmyjoy & for all of you who want to come to the Prague gig:

According to the official facebook page of the venue a small number of tickets (only balcony tickets though) will be released sometime next week.

ticketpro.cz website allows only 24h reservations and if people don't collect their tickets they go back on sale - so keep checking the website, you might be lucky!

Many people have reserved ther tickets through another website - ticketportal.cz - and the reserved tickets must be collected until 16.5. so check the website on 17 May, I'm sure there's going to be a couple of uncollected tickets back on sale then.

Oh, I wanted to ask if anyone knows - will it be seated gig or I'll have to hurry up to get into the first row? :P

Just a quick review of the gig:
Damien was great last night, he played his usual set and took some requests as well (such as Woman Like a Man, Coconut Skins and Prague which he couldn't remember so he kinda improvised it). He told the usual stories and joked around. At one point he asked whether any musicians were in the audience and invited a guy from the first row to play his original song on his guitar while he just sat down and watched him with a cigarette and a glass of wine. After Cheers Darlin' he asked what the weather was outside saying that if it wasn't raining he'd go busking to Charles Bridge after the show and told us to come over to Charles Bridge later. A bunch of us waited for him outside the venue and together with him we went through the streets of Prague to Charles Bridge where we sat down and played songs on guitars which some guys had brought along to the gig and we sang like that for about three hours: during this time sometimes it was us entertaining Damien and sometimes he was entertaining us by playing his own songs. When most people left, Damien needed to find a toilet so like 10 of us went with him in search of a toilet (weird, I know) and then we ended up sitting in a tiny pub where he chatted to 2 of the fans and the rest of us continued to sing some more songs. I left at 4AM and he was still there! What a night! haha He kept saying that the Vienna gig is going to be awful because of the busking to early morning hours (his voice was tired, lots of wine was drunk and cigarettes smoked) and joked that he should probably call Vienna and tell them the gig is cancelled. I'm sure he'll do fine. That was the best gig I've been to.

Ahh, so many questions.
I'm sorry, I do not have the correct setlist. He did Wild and Free though! This is what I can recall in no particular order: I Remember, Elephant, Blower's Daughter, Volcano, Delicate, Accidental Babies, The Professor, 9 Crimes, Amie, Cannonball, Rootless Tree (piano), Cold Water - Hallelujah, Cheers Darlin', Prague, Coconut Skins, Wild and Free...

I don't think he told us any news. Somebody asked him about the new album and he replied that he does not know when it's going to be released and that he's just playing with songs at this stage - 'when it's ready, it's ready'.

What is The Greatest Bastard? He played various songs at the bridge - as for his original songs he played Insane, Fool, Grey Room, a new song (I recorded it and I'll post a link later), then he played Stand by Me, With or Without You, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, L. Cohen, one traditional Irish song and in exchange for that he wanted us to play and sing a Czech one which he later said was his absolutely favourite moment of the whole night and seemed really moved by it. Other songs were played by random guys as the guitars were passed along the 'audience' - we did How Long by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Imagine by John Lennon and the ending of Hey Jude, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Radiohead's Creep, lots of big Czech songs such as Amerika by Lucie, Klára by Chinaski, etc. I'll post some videos

^ Cool, I love the way that he's casually hanging round with his fans for hours after these gigs. Such a great experience for those lucky enough to be there.

Sounds like no new album likely for AGES though, I might as well give up hoping . So in the meantime it would be really good to hear the new one that he played for you guys, please do post a link and I really look forward to seeing your videos.

Here's my recording, full version. I actually don't think it's crap, it's growing on me.

I'm uploading the rest now.

Oh nice find, I didn't notice that.

Here's my recording of Insane

And this one is not mine - it's Prague and the improvisation is hilarious.
