I don't think he would remember the lyrics to On Children because they aren't his. I hope people yell out requests. I'll yell loudly in my mind. Mustard Seeds is fantastic. Comforting, in a way, if you feel you have a lot of love.

The show is Monday night. We'll miss you, Scott!

Gorgeous venue and powerful performance! Unfortunately, a very short set (not exactly in order): MFFF, Elephant, Delicate, 9 Crimes, Professor, Older Chests, Colour Me In, Trusty and True, Volcano, It Takes A Lot..., Greatest Bastard, and Blower's Daughter w/snippet of Creep. Perhaps somebody else that was there has a better memory than I. Anyway, earlier in the day a few of us found a great spot for a potential aftershow. So when we finally saw him afterward, I told him how much I enjoyed the show and the incredible venue. I asked if he would consider doing an aftershow since I had heard he did some amazing ones in Europe. He looked like he was considering it, but he also looked tired. So I felt really bad and apologized for being selfish and wanting more when he already gave us such a great show. Then he walked over to where other people were waiting for him and I was like "Oh well, it was worth a try." But I think Mike also said something, and then Nancy told him we found a great spot. So he got his guitar and we brought him around the corner to our perfect aftershow area...but they had apparently watered the grass during the concert, so the ground was soaking wet! Then we went into the corner by a building on some pavement and he proceeded to play Stoic then Mustard Seeds 3 feet away from me! Both, incredible songs! He was extremely jet-lagged and could barely speak at this point, so we thanked him for being so generous with his time. What a great night, shared with some super cool people (friends old and new)!

On the walk from the tour bus to the secret garden I asked him for Stoic. My favorite song.

But someone asked if it would be on the new album and he said no probably not

Thank you...it was truly beautiful. I believe I was the one that asked if it might show up on the new album.

Yes, like 15. A bunch of us were from the East Coast. It was magical and special and soooo generous! He was not shy and very comfortable. And, he has such a sweet little face when he smiles fully !!! I was monosyllabic and stupid again.

He did these 2 perfect songs in a place behind a building surrounded by trees. There were discarded planks of wood right next to him. Just simple, but truly magical because of it! And these two songs...!! What a gift!!

Nice work Mike!!! I'm glad you love Stoic as much as I do. This version is INCREDIBLE and it wouldn't exist if you hadn't been there.

And thanks so much blindmelonade for taking these gorgeous videos. I'm happy to see your camera is still hanging on to mortal life.

Yay for the traveling New York crew!! I'm psyched that you all had such a magical evening.

amazing, guys!!! I'm so happy for you!!!
Brief aftershow, but super amazing! Two new songs out of two... Damien must really have liked you
And it's great that he's starting to play Stoic more often. Let's keep requesting it so he understands it's a great song

You guys are so awesome! Liz I'm glad you came out of your shell and are doing things that you wouldn't have a few months ago!

I miss not being there with the East Coast Crew. Can't wait to be reunited again!

Thanks for the stories and all the recordings. Love you guys.

Looking forward to some of the video/photos to come out.

Red Rocks lived up to the mystique. I anticipated some acoustic loss from the Halls and Theaters Damien carries so well in but we didn't see much difference at all. Damien was definitely more "focused" than Seattle back in April, which was a good thing.

- I've offered to play the symbol clankers during the next Damien looping jam.

- Couldn't help but think how fortunate my 13 year old step-daughter was to A) Take in Second Damien Rice show B) Red Rocks C) First Contact High.

- Miss the unplugged "Cannonball"

Default great experience!

Hi all, Kaytee here. It was great meeting up with the NYC crew again, and meeting new friends! Having seen Damien in Portland and Seattle, I agree he seemed much more into the music last night. Maybe it was the atmosphere/ambiance, but the show was so good. I'm excited to see him in Texas this week, but have a feeling it won't be the same. Red Rocks and The Box last October are probably my most favorite experiences in very different ways. I would really love to have video of "Creep", as Radiohead is my favorite band, and they're a match made in heaven!

wow...just watched the 2 songs...no idea why he would think they're not good enough to be on an album. They're both incredible.
Lucky peeps in Red Rock!

Hold tight folks! Got about 5 videos uploading right now. Sadly I didn't get blower's/creep. But at that point everyone was jumping around and dancing and my videos are shakes enough.

A few locals, maybe 6 or 7, but we're adding to the NY/East coast crew. Thanks for the videos!
