Hi guys
Do you remember the talented guy that opened for damien in the iveagh gardens? (The first one, before Colm) We didn't get his name. Looked for it a bit and then kinda forgot about him. Well, this morning, for some reason, I was reminded of him, so I did some googling and found out his name is "Bryan R. Dalton". Guess what the R. stands for? Turns out he's Damien's cousin (such nepotism ) |

Gosh, that would be awkward
We should have known though, there's definitely some family resemblance. |

maybe that's why he never said who he was during his setlist

i think the fella is really good. i got the chills during a couple of his songs, to be honest. as i understood, he is based in australia and was back in dublin to visit. maybe that´s why damien invited him.
caro, you are a true detective he even played the ruby sessions!

Well, i really enjoyed his set in the Iveagh Gardens (maybe a bit too mellow), but his demos on soundcloud are a bit disappointing (although you can hear the potential). I'll check if I can find some nice live videos
(Love the Ruby sessions!) |

again, i think he was brilliant on stage. demos are also working for me... but i have a mellow ear, i suppose. i love pieces, which makes me realize that i also have a very sad sad soul (i will borrow gemma hayes´ words though, "i´m happy sad, never one or the other").
we missed him for one week! i was there the week after.
