It doesn't work because they don't have the video on the website.
The link they have in the source code points to a file that doesn't exist.

I just watched it again and I think it IS a grower

We should have it up here on the site later today.

I even have a theory of what the story is, but I'll wait until you can all watch it before I put that up.

I uploaded it for people, although the quality isn't earth-shattering, seeing as the audio only works in the right ear for some reason

Oh I can tell my theory now! Personally I think it gets better the more I watch it.

It reminds me of the film 'Castaway' with Tom Hanks... where Tom' character is stranded on a desert island and his loneliness leads him to imagine a ball as his friend. To me this video is about the loneliness of a homeless man (played by Damien) who imagines a balloon to be a friend. And we are watching through his imagination, so we see the balloon as Lisa too.

Quite a nice short-film actually. Definately growing on me.

There is still a complete disconnect from the song itself, but that seems to be the case with this director. 'The Scientist' and 'Just' were the same.

I've just watched it... It is fantastic to me, really!
I laughed to it and felt that subtle touch of poetry that always makes you nostalcic at the same time... a great video indeed, in my opinion.

After reading the comments I was expecting to hate it, but I think it's really good. I don't think it's a joke at all, nor do think it's a masterpiece, but I like it.

Also, Lisa's detached head levitating as a balloon on a string looked absolutely gorgeous (and I haven't said that about too many girls in the past).

at first I thought that it was really weird but now I think that I get story behind the video and I must say that it's kinda sad.

I think it's great, very weird and sad, even though it's not connected much to the song maybe

WOW!!!!! I read all comments so I knew what I was expecting... but it still surprised me big time!!!

I think it's great!!! Surreal and not-for-everyone and a bit weird and spooky, but it's always weird when they put heads on videos... But I thought it was genious, especially the last bit

Typical video from the director. But I thought there was a connection with the lyrics in the case of The Scientist, which keep saying "let's go back to the start, take me back to the start", and that was what was happening in the video, why the video was going backwards...

it is not weird, no way, it is just so sad and not typical..

and it is not a new story..it just made me to remember an old movie, 'the red balloon' by a french director, albert lamorisse. it was a movie of 39 minutes (or something like like that) about the friendship of a little boy and the loveliest, the most beautiful red balloon. (lisa, our red balloon seems to be the gorgeous thing in the video)
I guess it was a black and white movie, the only colourful thing was that red balloon..-maybe thats why damien is in that stupid red jacket-and in the end there was the death of the balloon in a very stupid, disturbing way!I remember that I felt so depressed in the end..ah yeah it was so sad, heart breaking, or I should be so young when I watched it!

anyway..
that movie impressed me a lot, it was kind of sad, and it was a movie that would make you remember some scenes till the end of your life..and the video is so similiar for me with the movie...so damien came again with something that makes me feel lots of emotions , connotations..not only with the song but also with the video..

now I decided;
it is a great video!

sahika! you read my mind, i thought the exact same thing.. i only saw that little film once when i was a child but i loved it and it stuck with me ever since, and that's what the video reminded me of..

so i like the video

Thank you very very very much, Owlie... you made me happy tonight.

I saw 9 crimes video now, for the first time, and i think it's great!
Surreal as Magritte's paintings, it's in my opinion connected to some words of the song!
"it's the wrong kind of place to be thinkin of you"
says Lisa, while Damien's as a homeless comes to find something important there, in the garbage.
He's appealed to the head on the coin, but when he looks to that beautiful balloon (Lisa), he starts trying to get it.
It seems to me he tries to get a dream.

But, considering that "it's the wrong kind of place to be thinking of that", childrens decided to kill the dream.

"It's a small crime" to walk with dreams "on" you, And Damien has got no excuses.
He may only look at his broken dream, while life goes on.

Still Dreamin'...

I thought it was interesting that the kids were shooting the ballooon...

"If you don't shoot it how am I supposed to hold it?"

Doesn't really work in the context onf the song.... but in the video it might.
