I used to smoke so I can't condemn him. I do believe though that if I could sing like him and wanted to continue to have that as my career for years to come thatI would give it up. It would be a very intelligent act to go along with his intelligent lyrics.

Planet bah! Try an entire galaxy.

Me and the Canis Major dwarf galaxy had something special. Then that damn Hubbel telescope got put into space and I got jealous because everyone could now look at pictures of her on the internet.

It is sort out of character of being a vegan Which I have read that he is. But my friend who is also a vegan and smokes said that it is much better for you to roll your own , there is not the chemicals and other harmful ingredients in them ..

Damien said in an interview that he was all about spriritual practices and such and he finally threw out the rule book. (Meaning, the rule "if I'm vegetarian I can't smoke" no longer existed.)

Your friend is wrong. Nicotine is an addictive and harmful chemical all on its own. He/she's just fooling herself.

Wow that was a little harsh I don't smoke and don't agree with her particularly, I do think it is a little better not to have the chemicals, I wish she would quit but it is her decision, I would say in general most vegans don't smoke.. But there is always an exception...Edited by: jbalogh

Well, it's not harsh. It's a fact that has been established about 15 years ago. You can read about it here.

Notice how it explitely talks about ("pure") nicotine, not cigarettes.

They've also, more recently, done research on Indian bidi's, which are nothing but a leaf of tabacco rolled up tight, and found those are even worse. That much for "tabacco without additional chemicals".

i would have thought that without the filter it would be alot worse in the long run... smoking hash is 4 times worse so rollies must be twice as bad...

Well, if they set up the studies they take filters, sucking rate and other variables into consideration. I never actually read anything about filters vs. no filters. You can roll your own *with* filters, too, btw. I only started reading about the effects of smoking after I quit.

Oh, and Simon, here is a house warming gift for you new apartment in Byelorussia.
