no, it wasn't me but i recorded the song
maryb21 posted a link with a pretty good review except for one thing: two people join the stage to sing a song, and the singer didn't have the flu but leukemia finally, he played a GH gig but remember: it was his first time in colombia. and he will tour early next year, but not sure if he meant latin america i guess a new album is coming soon, right? he didn't talk about it, but he indeed talked about a tour (and well, that he was fu cking happy to be there, that he wants to be back, blah blah blah, you know the story) edit: i saw my videos and they're really dark. there wasn't any light in stage except for some candles. and audio isn't the best either. anyway, i'll get uploaded three of them by tonight Last edited by Meowth; 05-03-2010 at 10:45 PM. |

Here goes another short review, it`s in spanish.
I will translate soon, promise.
he looks happy... i´m glad it was a great time. thanks mary for all the stuff and thanks to you, meowth, as well. great news on the horizon: hes is thinking about touring again (cerque, i bet you´ll have your turn, finally ). i hope i could be in ireland by that time just found this vid (cold water/hallellujah). not the best quality, but still (the sound is quite good though): i´ve just listened... *clap clap* to the gir and to damien´s improvisation

Damien is such a beautiful one! It's amazing when someone with such a gift doesn't care about the money and use his influence to help! I'm proud of this guy!

I love also his hippie way of life, I think is something he forgot between 2004-2008 more or less and he is becoming him again.
I think we will appreciate that in #3. |

He can't come back to Ireland because of the ash from the volcano. The airports are closed anyway...

Yes, second show in Barichara, Santander, Colombia.
I can´t go because i will be in a different city working, i`m traveling to Barranquilla, i`m in Cartagena right now but i gotta spend a few days in Barranquilla because of my job. I`ll get to see him someday, i know. I`ll keep you guys posted. Love you all!! Background to the gig Damien Rice's Story 'Some colombian friends were showing us around and we visited a beautiful small town in the mountains called Barichara and saw people lining up behind a truck to collect water in buckets. It was so surprising to imagine that a town this pretty and detailed was built in a place without water and so we naturally asked the question and one question led to another and our curiosity grew and a few days later at a spontaneous concert in bogota we decided to donate the money to help out with the water situation in Barichara. This then led to a feeling of responsibility where we wanted to do the best possible thing with the money raised and before we knew it our friends had gotten environmentalists, and others with local knowledge, involved. Someone then suggested going back to Barichara to do a concert there and bring environmentalists and local people together to find long-term sustainable solutions to the situation.'
