hmmmm...the one i got first is just cardboard, sorta textured though and it's really thin. but it's like a hardback book if ya know what i mean, the new ones in the shops are even thinner and flimsier!! but yeh mojo's right, the cloth version is a lot thicker

I was convinced I had the cloth one but by the way everyone's describing it I don't know if I do have it.....I've only ever seen the one type in any shop I've ever been it and it was always the cloth type........or so I though until now . damn it stupid brain is slow today. very

i heard that only 15,000 of those good quality ones were sold and then they just re-produced the others to save money... Mines in perfect condition as i never take it out... but if i do take it out im still carefull and put it back on the stand its not really a party album so i rarely have to take it out of the house |

I'm thinking of suggesting to emmett that only ppl with the cloth version of "O" should be allowed to post here. members will have to show a pic of their copy of "O" with their username written on a piece of paper beside it... it's only fair. all you "cardboard" cut-out fans can make your way over to the damienrice.com msg board.

We had a thread where we talked about the different covers before Called O with aol DVD session...Magnus started it, and Loveless posted this link to pictures of the different versions of O: http://www.irishmusiccentral.com/dam.../images_o.html It's even been updated with teh CD/DVD version Call me sick... I have three copies of O. The first one I bought was the cheap ass American version in flat, flimsy cardboard. That is the only copy that i actually listen to, because I don't care about its condition...and it's in pretty bad condition. I bought the pseudo-book UK version at my first Damien show because I thought it was the Irish release. While it's much better than the American version, it's still not as good as the original Irish version. That one is signed by Damo. Then I HAD to have the real thing, so I bought a gently used copy of the original Irish release. No, I'm not obsessed with Damo or anything |
